Chapter One Hundred and Forty-Seven.

Declan turned to leave but saw a car pull up outside at the drive way.

He paused to see who it was and it was no other person than Mr. Gilbert.

"Where is that punk?" Mr. Gilbert yelled, stepping down from his car.

Mr Gilbert drew closer and saw who was standing there. He squinted his gaze as he stared at Declan .

"You must be—Declan King?"

Mr. Gilbert said from a distance holding his two hands together in front of him.

"Mr. Gilbert, I presume. It's a pleasure to finally meet your acquaintance."

"Oh don't flatter me." Mr. Gilbert waved with a smile. "I'm more honored to meet you, Mr. Declan King. I have heard so much about you."

Mr. Gilbert looked past Declan to the house.

"Where is that punk? I came here to teach him the lesson of his life. How dare he frame and arrest a man as reputable as yourself?" Mr. Gilbert said with anger.

"Not everyone knows their limit, I presume." Declan said humbly.

"Ignorance is not an excuse. He must kneel before you and apologize!" Mr. Gilbert ins
