Chapter Thirty-Three.

Jade flew across the room and landed on his back at the other side. The bullet had missed his left leg by one inch. He looked up terrified at the gun man. Declan King. That was not a miss, Declan had purposely shot the exact place he did.

"That was so quick. I didn't expect you to come this fast." Jade hissed, hiding his fear as he got up on both legs. Declan didn't say anything. He glanced around first and seeing May curled to the side unconscious made his rage rise. He pinned a glare at Jade, his hands folded in a tight fist beside him, almost turning pale. Jade locked eyes with Declan and he saw Declan's eyes were red in rage, anger, fury. It was as if his body released visible smoke the way he fumed in rage.

Jade shifted and swallowed. He was nervous and his gaze shifted to the gun in Declan's hand. But what Declan did next was shocking. Declan opened the gun, took out the bullet and tossed everything to the side.
