Chapter Two Hundred and Four

"Timothy, get my daughter from this man, now!"

Grandpa Asher ordered and everyone glanced around in shock.

Timothy did not bat an eye. He marched straight to Declan and was about to take Mandy from him when Lily stepped up to speak.

"Uhm... grandpa, it's him... the same man that had been with us all this time.” Lily turned to meet her grandfather’s face.

“grandpa?"

Lily called in surprise when she looked by her side and her grandfather was gone. He had wheeled himself back in before she could finish speaking.

"It's okay, Lily. I think I should take some break from everything myself. She needs to rest, she can call me when she wakes up if she wants."

"Of course she will call you. Have a good night."

Lily waved at Declan till the darkness outside swallowed his car.

Declan undid the last button of his shirt and slid it off his arms. His phone beeped with a message, and glanced at it on the bedside.
