Mandy looked at the old man in front of her with widened eyes. “What's with the look? The bodyguard hesitated looking at the bundle of money in Declan's hand before turning to the bodyguard closest to the curtain. “Go tell the boss that someone came to look for him with ‘the’ name.” The bodyguard nodded before walking past the curtain. Declan sat swirling the contents of his glass while watching as the bodyguard who had previously left returned and conversed with his colleagues. Then one of them walked up to him slowly. “I presume you have spoken to your boss?” Declan snorted at the guard who bowed slightly. “He requested your presence above. One of us will take you to him.” The bodyguard said meekly before backing away. Declan dropped his glass and stood up filling the guard to the stairs. He was led upstairs and into a large room with red lights, a piano at one end with shelves of wine. He scanned the room and saw someone seated comfortably on the largest sofa in the room flanked by two bodyguards on both sides of the couch… each of them tensed with a hand

Declan broke into a wide smile as he trailed his gaze over the twelve people who had come for him. “Tell your master that if I know too much, that should be his problem alone.” Declan replied. “Though I don't think you would be making it alive to leave here… not to mention meeting him.” The bodyguard waved his hand and the thugs moved towards Declan swinging their bats.
