3| Dirty Work

A police car with white headlights shone sharply at Kay, who was driving. In the next second, Malvinn disappeared from behind Kay. No one knew where Malvinn had gone. However, Kay, who couldn't dodge, was forced to stop exactly ten inches in front of the police car blocking him.

Kay pulled the brakes really hard in time. Motorcycle tires squeaked and left a black trail on the asphalt. Kay cursed angrily because his trip was blocked.

"Fuck! Can't you guys just let me go home in peace tonight?" Kay complained as he took off his helmet and got off the motorbike.

An old man with grey hair and a coarse beard that had not been shaved for several days got out of the police car. The man's body was skinny; it even looked like walking bones. His face was wrinkled from exhaustion and lack of sleep.

A cigarette that was only half-smoked squeezed into the man's mouth. His hands were tied to the gun belt at his waist.

"Why are you taking so long, Liavin?" reprimanded the police officer while clamping his cigarette on his finger.

"Seriously, Inspector Robert. How can I finish it quickly if the pay you offer is never good?" Kay grinned at the old man.

"Have you got it?" asked Inspector Robert.

Kay removed the backpack from his back and tossed it at Inspector Robert. At that moment, a young man, assistant to Inspector Robert, got out of the car and seized the backpack.

"Hey, Mike! Apparently, you're here too? Are you going to keep following this old man?" quipped Kay.

Michael just smiled awkwardly at Kay. After getting the backpack, he opened it and checked its contents.

Michael glanced at Inspector Robert and nodded. "This is indeed the item we are after."

Inspector Robert waved, and Michael put the backpack into the car. He left Inspector Robert alone with Kay.

"Are you alone, Liavin? I need both of you. Where's Lundon?"

Before Kay could answer, a motorbike sped up and approached them from the side. Suddenly the front of the motorcycle lifted and jumped over the police car driven by Inspector Robert.

Malvinn deliberately raised his motorbike through the hood of the car until the middle part of it collapsed. Then, he landed in front of them with a mischievous grin.

"Bastard!" shouted Inspector Robert. "Why did you come like that? You broke the office car." Inspector Robert looked very annoyed. He tiptoed to check his dented hood. "Ah… you have to replace it!"

Sitting in the car, Michael immediately came out with a frightened face. He thought he would die right then and there when the wheel of Malvinn's motorbike hit the hood.

"Isn't it time you asked for a new vehicle from the office? Look!" Malvinn exclaimed, "Where is a police car that dents so easily? You won't be able to fight the gangsters and criminals in the black district using a canned car like this."

"Fuck!" Inspector Robert ruffled his white hair in annoyance when he saw the damage to his car.

Kay rushed over and put an arm around Inspector Robert's shoulder. "Sorry, okay, sorry ...," said Kay. "We have completed the mission. So what do you need from us this time? There's also no need for you to confront us with surprises like this. We're like fugitives." Kay's eyes narrowed.

Inspector Robert tries to get away from Kay. "Okay, let's just say we're even. There's a new task for you!"

A girl wearing a baseball cap is standing in front of a recently opened nightclub. Head up. She looked at the dark sky and took a deep breath before stepping into the bustling lounge.

The girl lowered the hem of her hat to hide the bruises on her face. She slid her hand into her jacket pocket, where Coll's money roll was still there. She stepped past the guards and headed for the VIP room.

Some thugs guarding the club keep an eye on the guests. However, they only glanced at it when the girl in the baseball cap passed by. They already knew her and did not suspect her.

The girl walked into a room filled with comfort girls. Their clothes are very mini with a strong perfume smell. A man sat in the middle among the girls sitting on the long sofa. Buttons of his shirt were open to his chest, and his gold watch shimmered in the light.

The girl in the baseball cap was standing in the middle of the room. She looked down as the man in the golden watch glared at her. The girl in the hat suddenly knelt down in regret.

"What did you say? They all died at the hands of the redhead and the mad samurai?"

"Sorry, Henry." The girl trembled in fear.

She recounted all the events in the underground parking in detail haltingly. Henry, who was sitting with the comfort girls, started to sit up straight on the sofa. He tossed his pack of cigarettes onto the table, littered with beer bottles and snacks.

"Someone leaked it! I-I tried to save the evidence, but…."

Brack!

Henry kicked the low table in front of him and rolled over. All the liquor bottles and food there spilled onto the floor.

"Bastard!"

The girl in the baseball cap shuffled even more. She crawled back in fright.

The comfort girls who were there screamed, stifled in surprise and fear. Their faces paled as Henry rose angrily.

"You think I'd believe your cheesy story?" Henry's muscular body was seen towering in front of the kneeling girl.

The girl was terrified. But she didn't want to die there. Instead of dodging and running away, she crawled forward and hugged Henry's legs in despair.

"I'll take it back!"

Henry was distraught. He kicked the girl until she rolled over. The toe of Henry's shoe hit the girl's solar plexus, and she fainted instantly.

Inspector Robert handed Kay a file. Under the streetlight, Kay opened the file and examined its contents.

"Henry Cruise. He's a newcomer to the Nameless District. Five years ago, he built his strength on the outside," said Inspector Robert, taking a sip of his cigarette.

Kay and Malvinn looked at the contents of the file seriously.

"Then what's the problem?" Kay asked.

"Recently, Henry's gang has continued to expand their loot. They even dared to open a business in the black district. We have intended to clean them up, but the central leadership has not given their blessing. They thought Henry's gang would not last long in this district. In fact, from day to day, more and more complaints about their brutality. That's why we're trying to gather evidence, one of which you just got."

Inspector Robert pointed to a backpack filled with new drugs that the Rogue Brothers had just acquired.

"Well... well... why didn't you say so in the first place, Inspector Rob?" quipped Kay. "So this drug transaction is also part of their group? Because I didn't see Henry there."

"Henry is a sly man. He doesn't have to do all the work himself. He didn't do it all openly. Therefore, the central leadership has not dared to give direct orders. However, this evidence alone is not sufficient. I want you to clean up their gang this time's request."

"Cleaning up their gang?" Kay and Malvinn stared at each other.

"The strength of their gang is already very troubling, even dared to harass other businesses in the district. Yes, the Four Pillars are starting to get annoyed too."

"How many people are they?" Kay asked without taking his eyes off the file in his hand.

"The gang members who entered the Nameless District area were only about 15 people. That's all we can identify. Their data and exclusive photos are in the file you hold."

Michael got out of the car handing Kay a briefcase. Kay took it and checked its contents.

"The fee this time is 5,000 Coll," said Inspector Robert.

Kay glanced at Malvinn. "Only 5,000 Coll for 15 heads. Do you want to take it or not?"

Malvinn, who was primarily silent, finally spoke up. "The pay is a little too small for the dirty work. But, our fridge has been empty since yesterday. I hate that you cook pasta every day."

Kay just rolled his eyes.

When he was about to hand back the file containing the profiles of the gangster members to Michael, suddenly, several photos fell scattered. Michael picked up the images. Kay held Michael's hand as he picked up one of the photos.

Kay grabbed it and showed it to Inspector Robert. "Is she part of the gangsters?"

"She? He is a boy!" said Inspector Robert. "Yeah, he's part of Henry's gang. He is famous for his "hand of the gods." Because the boy is quite good at stealing. He is disturbing the elderly and businessmen who are often his victims."

Malvinn was curious and snatched the photo from Kay's hands. His expression was cold.

"Boy, huh?" Kay grinned at Malvinn.

"I told you to wrap everything up!" said Inspector Robert, stamping his cigarette butt on the asphalt. "Why? Do you know the boy?"

"No, we don't know him," Kay said, glancing at Malvinn. "Don't you have any compassion? He's just a kid, right?"

Inspector Robert snickered in annoyance. "How many children do you think there are in this district? No matter the children, women, or the elderly, if they have made a mess, then they should be removed. Do you want to take it or not?"

Malvinn whispered something into Kay's ear before returning to the motorcycle, gripping his sword tightly.

"Okay, we'll take it," said Kay, stretching his arms like a cat that had just woken up from a long slumber. "But, Malvinn asks for one condition."

"What conditions do you want?" asked Inspector Robert.
