After saying that, Vera immediately scanned and opened the ultraviolet vision mode, where it turned out that there were several traps in that place.

“There is an invisible laser scanner, I will hack.”

“No need.” Nouel didn't give permission, then he turned to one member who didn't come down. “Drax, are you still there?”

“On the way down. Is there anything I can do?” replied the man from the other side.

“There's a laser scanner in my path. Can you get rid of it?”

“Oh, I forgot about that. I only secured the bombs planted there.”

“Do it quickly, it looks like we have a guest.” Nouel looked so relaxed and calm as his gaze turned towards where the group of enemies from a distance seemed to be pointing their guns at them.

“Wow, they are a little different,” commented Nouel when facing the enemy troops, who this time had different equipment and weapons than the men they had previously taken down. They look so strong.

“They seemed to have been waiting for our arrival, very complete weapons.” Nouel assumed that when he saw the hordes of enemies who had pointed their guns at him, the locations of the enemies were in various positions and quite spread out.

“They surrounded us.” Vera muttered while being wary of unexpected enemies suddenly appearing there.

“Yes, and if you take two more steps, you will explode.” Nouel muttered under his breath, informing him. It turns out that in front of Vera, there is a mine that will explode if Vera crosses that path.

“You can tell?”

“Yeah, that's easy for me to guess.”

The rebel troops began to attack, gun shots echoing around them. Explosions and damage occurred several times greater than before, the destructive power of troop attacks this time was stronger and more dangerous.

Nouel took cover behind a large pillar, as well as Vera and Blaicer. The bullets released were not as usual, which surprised Nouel.

Seeing the agile way of movement and the different bullet projectiles, let Nouel know that the troops this time were not the same as the previous ones, they were more agile and stronger. “They are different from ordinary troops.”

“I'm done, the entire path is clear.” Drax informed.

“Good. It is time for revenge.”

“By the way, what's wrong with them? Their weapons seem more sophisticated than those back there.” Vera, who realized the significant difference, also questioned what had happened.

“Who knows.”

Nouel then contacted the other members. “You're already in?”

“Yes. We're securing the location, do you need help?” replied a Veliant from the other side.

“No need, you guys secure another location. We will secure this area.”

“Copy that.”

“One more thing, you guys might fight a different troop group, be careful with this new one, you might get killed by them.” Not to forget, Nouel gave a warning to his team members.

“Ready.”

Nouel finished the conversation, then shifted his focus back to the current situation where it was still noisy, plus around them many light bullets whizzing by. At that time, Vera was returning fire to the troops who were then attacking them.

Nouel then returns to Vera. “I will move, protect me.”

“Okay, leave it to me.”

“I will help.” Blaicer was also ready to open fire.

So Vera and Blaicer immediately responded to successive shots, while Nouel climbed onto the top of the big pillar, with the device on his gloves and shoes, Nouel seemed to easily climb there, trying to find a good vantage point for aiming.

When Nouel's two subordinates became the focus of the enemy's attention, Nouel threw the flash bank at the enemy where it turned out that they, as if they had expected the surprise, they immediately stopped their fire and then shielded their view from the light created by the explosion.

“They already predicted?” asked Nouel a little surprised to see that, the attack just now that should have been a surprise attack was useless.

Meanwhile, the effect of the explosion of light that produced a loud sound actually had an effect on Vera and Blaicer.

“You took off the flash bank without telling me?” Vera protested, it seemed that the girl was affected by the blinding effect of the light.

“Excuse me. I thought you'd guessed I would.” After saying that, Nouel also fired successive shots towards the opponent.

“By the way, I failed a surprise attack.”

One of the enemies throws a hand grenade at him, Nouel immediately jumps down, he lands with an explosion above where he was staying before.

While landing in a kneeling position, Nouel unleashes continuous fire on his enemies. Some of them immediately fell from the well-aimed shots, however, other gunmen immediately appeared in their place. Several people had sprung up from elsewhere.

Nouel immediately dodged when many people shot at him, he immediately hid behind another wall which was quite a distance away from Vera's location. The successive shots made them unable to return attacks.

“Fall down five, comes up ten, really great.” Vera muttered in a sarcastic tone as she looked at the new enemies that had arrived.

“It's normal, isn't it? Are we fighting too many enemies?” replied Blaicer.

“And the bad news is, those who have fallen, have risen again.” Nouel replied in the same sarcastic tone as Vera had said.

“What?” asked Blaicer and Vera in unison.

“Look that way.” Nouel pointed at the people who had been knocked down before, now they seemed to be starting to get up again, the armed men were starting to prepare to attack.

“Unbelievable,” Blaicer said quietly.

“Shit, what creatures are they?” Vera muttered in annoyance. Supposedly, those who had been hit were already immobilized, what was happening now was not like that.

“Why ask? Of course, they are cyborgs.” Nouel replied in a relaxed and slightly indifferent tone, he himself is currently changing the model of his weapon, fiddling with the part of the weapon he is holding.

“What? How could it be!” exclaimed Vera who was surprised, completely unexpected and unable to believe what Nouel had said?

“The rebels shouldn't have cyborgs.” Blaicer chimed in.

“It's hard to believe, but that's the truth.”

“But... how is that possible?” asked Vera again.

“You don't see? Their forelimbs are equipped with metal, our shots just sent them flying without doing any more damage.” Nouel explained while finishing what he was working on. Demonstrated composure hints at self-confidence.

“But there's no way the enemy would have this technology, I've never heard of any cyborgs among them.”

“That is what we are currently looking at. For now, putting this anomaly aside, focus first on taking them down.” Nouel muttered, he was ready to attack.

Vera then grumbled in annoyance. “Damn it, our weapons are designed to bring down humans, not cyborgs, let alone robots.”

Responding to Vera's grunts, Nouel instead smiled, then he replied. “Only applies to you and the others, my weapons are different.”

“What does it mean?”

Nouel then readied his weapons, ready for action. With a little explanation. Nouel also spoke back. “I designed my weapons to take down every type of enemy, including cyborgs. Watch and learn.”

The hospital was always bustling with patients, and the number of nurses and medical staff working there was substantial. At this hospital, Ferdinand Volkov worked on his project. Whenever someone underwent amputation, they would be offered artificial limbs. Those who wanted to live normally would readily accept the offer. Similarly, those in need of organs would be offered either donor organ transplants or artificial organs. Since waiting for a donor or purchasing existing organs was costly, patients tended to opt for Volkov’s artificial organs. Besides being more affordable, easier to care for, these artificial organs and limbs had several advantages over those of regular humans. Gradually, over the years, Volkov’s cyborg project began to take shape.Unbeknownst to anyone, many of the surgeries to implant organs and artificial
