For several seconds, Nouel, Vera and Blaicer were in pain, amidst the pain, they had visions.

The city is in a state of crisis, riots occur everywhere, the government is unable to defuse the crisis, shootouts occur everywhere, Nouel and his best friend are trapped in this condition. It was there, Nouel saw his friend die with a gunshot wound right before his eyes, the vision, or vision vanished when he shook his head.

“Tch, why did that also appear? I'm not a sentimental person.” Nouel grumbled under his breath.

In that pain, Nouel immediately took off his helmet and glasses to eliminate his vision and stop the pain he was receiving. After being released, the attacks of headaches disappeared instantly so that Nouel immediately recovered completely, he immediately contacted Drax.

“A4, did you detect it?” asked Nouel, he immediately shook his head as a vision appeared.

“Yes, someone is hacking us, but don't worry, everyone's digital defense system is strong enough, I have also put up a fight, you will be safe after I finish.” Drax immediately informed. Actually, the cyborgs are already equipped with protection against hacking attacks, but that protection will not be enough if the hackers who attack are stronger.

“What about the other?” asked Nouel, he wanted to know if the other members of his team experienced the same thing.

“All members of the Beta team and the Gamma team are safe, I think the hacking attack is just where you are, I think the hacker is around there, not far from where you are.”

“You can trace where the attacks are coming from?” asked Nouel, then he closed his eyes for a few moments.

“It's hard to do, I'm just focused on putting up a fight.”

“Okay, do your job, with luck, I can find this hacker.”

“Copy that.”

Communication is over.

On the other side, Vera looked frightened, in the vision that appeared, Vera saw herself sinking into the dark water, unable to breathe and unable to see everything clearly, she was pinned in the car body at the feet and hands, her body was partially pierced metal on the eye left and lung. This caused her to have a panic attack, her breathing immediately became unstable, Vera experienced shortness of breath while the machine and organ system embedded in her body experienced an error.

Blaicer saw a vision in which he was hit by a mine explosion, the explosion cost him both legs, unfortunately, he was still conscious with the horrific wound. More than that, from the ground, predatory insects sprung up which began to eat both of his legs which had been crushed to the knees. The excruciating pain, of course, immediately disturbed the man's mentality. Luckily, just as he was about to lose control, there was a sudden electric shock that made him flinch, he immediately came back to reality.

“Uh, damn, that was awful,” Blaicer muttered with a hiss.

“Are you okay?” asked Nouel who apparently made the man aware.

“Yes, just seeing terrible things, I…” Blaicer didn't continue his words when he saw Vera's condition behind Nouel.

“Captain, something happened to her!” cried Blaicer, looking at Vera, who looked dying.

Nouel immediately approached the girl, grabbing both of her shoulders.

“Hey, wake up! Listen to me, whatever you see is not real.”

“Vera! Listen to me! It's all unreal!” Nouel exclaimed louder.

Because her efforts were not progressing, Nouel activated her gloves which emitted an electric voltage, then fired that voltage at Vera's chest, which made the cyborg girl return to consciousness and restore her breathing to normal.

“Successful, what did you do, captain?” asked Blaicer curious about what Nouel did so that Vera could regain her senses, the same method may have been used on her a few seconds before.

“Consider it the spark of life.”

“Really?”

Nouel just shrugged, did not want to give more explanation.

“What happened?” asked Vera, who had recovered, she hissed while touching her forehead with her left hand.

“There's a hacker attacking us, it's messing with your minds with horrific, traumatic visions.” Nouel answered while picking up his helmet and goggles, then slowly stood up. “For a few seconds, the hacker managed to get inside your heads. Luckily, your defense system is strong enough.”

“Why do hacks like this?” asked Blaicer.

“When our minds are vulnerable, we are very vulnerable, brains and microchips can't command the body properly.” Nouel reveals the reason.

“How about you, captain?” asked Blaicer, since Nouel wasn't a cyborg, he shouldn't have been affected by the attack.

“I'm also hit, my armor system is having a bit of trouble, my brain nerves are getting side effects,” Nouel replied quietly, then he chuckled in annoyance and then spoke to himself. “Tch, I have to upgrade my armor again.”

“You saw something too? Why did you wake up earlier?”

“Traumatic or horrific things have no effect on me.” Nouel replied in an indifferent tone.

“Oh.”

“I'm better now, shall we continue?” asked Vera, who took back her gun, then stood up.

“Yes. Henceforth, A4 will block us from any hacking attacks.”

“That's good, I don't like anyone playing with my head.” Blaicer replied with a hint of annoyance.

“Yeah, whatever that was, I didn't like it,” Vera replied, nodding her head.

So they continued the raid. Vera tried to focus, ignoring what had previously appeared in the vision, Blaicer and Nouel themselves seemed to have no intention of discussing what had happened or what had appeared in their vision.

After securing the area, they continued moving towards another area. Nouel, Blaicer and Vera came back down the stairs, this time they were going down to the next lower level. It was there, they opened fire several times as armed enemies appeared in the hallways, some even appeared on the stairs opening fire on them.

Either because of the poor level of accuracy of the shooters or they were lucky, what is clear, none of the bullets fired by the enemy hit them. Nouel instead immediately responded to the various shots that the enemy fired, he took out his laser gun and fired one by one at each of them with high accuracy so that they fell one by one.

“As accurate as always.” Vera praised without turning her head.

“Focus,” whispered Nouel looking serious.

“Okay.” Vera's attention was immediately focused on her surroundings, scanning to see if anyone had escaped Nouel's attack. While making sure, she kept moving.

“It seems that nothing has escaped,” Vera said in her head, that's when, a flash of the previous vision reappeared making Vera shake her head hastily, trying to get rid of the frightening vision.

Vera and Blaicer advanced again, this time when they came face to face with the enemy, they did a physical attack, Vera jumped over the hall wall then jumped to throw a punch at one of the enemies until it knocked the enemy away, the second enemy immediately got a strong kick from Blaicer.

The next foe appeared again, Vera spun around then unleashed a kick upwards where Blaicer had already jumped then unleashed a powerful punch on the face of the man who was their enemy until they heard the sound of bones breaking.

When Blaicer landed, two people appeared ready to shoot, but they were quickly outwitted by Vera, who had already opened fire on them. After all the enemies were down, Vera continued to be at the forefront, looking around to make sure no enemies were still standing.

“Clear.”

After descending the stairs, they arrived at another room which was even more spacious, it was empty. Vera looked around, after making sure there were no enemies around, she continued walking.

“All Clear,” Vera muttered again, reporting. So they returned to continue the movement with a pace that tends to be fast.

Nouel also checked using the screen of his scanning system, nearby it was not as safe and blank as expected.

When they managed to enter deeper areas, wide and open areas, they did not find the presence of a single enemy. However, when Vera was about to move, Nouel stopped her.

“Hold on,” Nouel muttered under his breath and suddenly ordered.

Immediately Vera stopped her steps, then she looked around alertly, but around there she found nothing, no signs of any danger, the scanning system itself did not show anything dangerous.

“Everyone is clear, we can move on.” vera muttered, somewhat questioning why Nouel asked her to stop.

“It's too safe here, you think this is normal?” asked Nouel making Vera who was aware of a completely abnormal situation.

Vera immediately assumed. “There's a trap here.”

“Yes.”

After saying that, Vera immediately scanned and opened the ultraviolet vision mode, where it turned out that there were several traps in that place.“There is an invisible laser scanner, I will hack.”“No need.” Nouel didn't give permission, then he turned to one member who didn't come down. “Drax, are you still there?”“On the way down. Is there anything I can do?” replied the man from the other side.“There's a laser scanner in my path. Can you get rid of it?”“Oh, I forgot about that. I only secured the bombs planted there.”“Do it quickly, it looks like we have a guest.” Nouel looked so relaxed and calm as his gaze turned towards where the group of enemies from a distance seemed to be pointing their guns at them.“Wow, they are a little different,” commented Nouel when facing the enemy troops, who this time had different equipment and weapons than the men they had previously taken down. They look so strong.“They seemed to have been waiting for our arrival, very complete weapons.”

Nouel continued, activating an energy shield that protected his body from the successive shots from the cyborgs shooting at him, he continued one or two shots that were so accurate, every cyborg that was hit by a direct shot was thrown several meters as if hit by a shot shotguns, they twitched for a moment as an electric shock surged through their bodies. When his shield is deactivated, Nouel moves fast, dodging every enemy shot that is fired at him. He kept running and jumping, making use of his war and fighting skills to avoid the oppone

Nouel commented on the drink. He shook his head, closed the bottle, and continued walking towards the field where teenagers were performing tricks with hoverboards. The objects they used were like skateboards but without wheels, hovering about half a meter above the ground as platforms. These boards were not cheap due to their design, shape, and the machinery that had to be adjusted to the user's size and weight.Nouel sat on the stairs where other spectators were seated around the steps.

The hospital was always bustling with patients, and the number of nurses and medical staff working there was substantial. At this hospital, Ferdinand Volkov worked on his project. Whenever someone underwent amputation, they would be offered artificial limbs. Those who wanted to live normally would readily accept the offer. Similarly, those in need of organs would be offered either donor organ transplants or artificial organs. Since waiting for a donor or purchasing existing organs was costly, patients tended to opt for Volkov’s artificial organs. Besides being more affordable, easier to care for, these artificial organs and limbs had several advantages over those of regular humans. Gradually, over the years, Volkov’s cyborg project began to take shape.Unbeknownst to anyone, many of the surgeries to implant organs and artificial
