Identifying The Enemy

“That sounded really close, we have to get to him fast” Aiden said as we rushed toward where we had heard Major Kevin’s scream.

As we arrived at the scene, Major Frank who was at the front paused and immediately went on guard as we followed suit, examining our surroundings carefully.

“Cover me, I’m going in” He said to us, signaling for us to scan the surrounding for any sign of the enemy.

Major Frank rushed to the body and bent down close to it before examining it cautiously, when he was done, he looked up but spotted nothing, it seems like whatever had done this had gone into hiding.

“He’s dead” Major Frank sighed and got up, this allowed us to also move over and check the body.

“It’s the same method of killing as that of the bat” I said after inspecting Major Kevin’s headless body, it was like his head had been sliced off and chewed like gum because I could see brain matter mixed with flesh on the ground.
