“You dog, how dare you touch my wife?" Baruan's voice frightened Roland, who continued to cry silently as he witnessed his leg being thrown away like a carcass.

"I had no choice, and it wasn't out of malice. I was there to ensure her safety as well as her security," Roland replied, stuttering through intense pain.

"How did she live here after returning, and how many people have you done this to?" Baruan asked forcefully, glaring at Roland with intense anger.

"I have never witnessed this being done to anyone else but you. The chief said you were very important to the nation. Since she had studied information technology, when she finished, we returned and the chief hired her as his secretary at the State House. My job ended there, and I have never received any more information about her," Roland had lost hope and was praying that Baruan wouldn't take his life.
