207. Trauma.

Gavin walked into Scarlet us ward, which appeared very sparse, but Scarlet lay on the bed, pale and depressed.

She was closing her eyes when Gavin and her nurse walked in, and she opened her eyes at the sound of their footsteps. She tried to sit up, but the nurse told her she needed to lay down for the time being because her body was not stinging enough to sit up.

Scarlet was astounded by how weak her body was and wondered how she got here. She looked to Gavin for answers, but he just stared at her like she was a living corpse.

After a while, he walked up to her bed and touched and patted her hands with great emotion, but he could not say anything else.

His eyes were filled with tears, as if he was reliving his father's death; even though he and Scarlet were only acquaintances, he respected her as an individual and hoped she would recover.
