69. Counsel.

Gavin woke up to an empty house, and as well, a beeping phone, ringing at the edge of the bed.

"I am up, I am up," he said, getting up on his feet and reaching out his hands for the phone. He picked it up and saw that it was Thomas calling.

What a pleasant surprise, he thought to himself. He then looked around the room to see if Meghan was around somehow. He could not risk her finding out about his relations with Thomas, the president of the Morano City Bank. Even though he had teased her about it before, he was still no less cautious.

"Well this is something we don't see every day," Gavin said to the phone. "You calling me always means good news, Thomas."

"Ah, now that sounds like something your grandfather would have said after al,l" said Thomas, chuckling slightly.

"So I know you did not call me for nothing," said Gavin. "Tell me, the preparations for the event I told you of, is everything set? I would like to know about that. I assume that must be the main reason you are calling
