Lyon spat out blood, there was limitation to his powers, his calculations weren't accurate and he could feel himself getting weaker as the fight went on.“Come on, Lyon Armstrong!” The Dark Lord mocked as he struck Lyon with yet another hit, “didn’t you call me a coward, who’s the coward now?!” The Dark Lord added.Lyon’s body weakened, he had tried everything in his power to at least hit the Dark Lord but it felt as though all of his strikes were going through him instead of hitting him.He winced, his body seemed to be giving up on him and Lyon could feel the flashbacks filling his mind as his life flashed right before his eyes.There’s no way he could hit the Dark Lord in his own territory, Lyon tried to look for a way to communicate with his friends but all communication links were cut off when he got into the Dark World.His magic held no water and he remembered the necklace his parents gave him but resorting to that right now was the last thing he wanted to do.“Am I really weak

It was an intense fight, the Dark Lord had suffered a really great hit and he didn’t need a soothsayer to tell him that he was really going to die if the fight went on.His gaze lifted and Lyon’s eyes were still really red, he couldn’t see anything and was only moving on his instinct. Lyon felt more relieved than ever after seeing the look on his friend’s faces, he was glad he finally got back to them, that happiness was one that nothing else could match.His eyes became too heavy to keep open, his body still hurts like crazy and with nothing else but relief washing over him, Lyon finally closed his eyes.“LYON!” Chelsey immediately yelled, unable to wrap her head around the fact that Lyon made it this far only to die on them.“I feel….” Lyon slurred, he wanted nothing more than to sleep, he needed to regain all the strength he’d lost while he was fighting with the Dark Lord.He also wanted to relive the fight because he doesn’t want to waste much time when it was time for a rematch and this time, he wanted the rematch to be decided on his term.He couldn’t possibly let the Dark Lord pull him into the Dark World again like it was nothing, he needs to have a stronger will and a much more powerful strength that would enable him to bring the Dark Lord out of his world

“I knew you were fine, you know, it’s going to take more than that to actually hurt you but I was so worried, I thought you were dead but I knew you weren’t.” Chelsey rambled on, she was barely thinking as she kept talking while Lyon was trying to wrap his head around what she was trying to say. Her head was on his shoulder and it didn’t take long for him to notice just how wet his shoulder had gotten, she had been crying while trying to express herself at the same time. He knew that this was what the Sovereign King was talking about, the others were good with being reasonable with the way they felt when he wouldn’t wake up. They knew he needed the rest and so knowing that he’s still alive was more than enough for them but Chelsey was different, he could always feel her presence. He had to fight against his will to actually wake up because he wanted to learn more from the Sovereign King. Smiling to himself, Lyon pulled her away from him and he saw just how red her eyes had

“FUCK IT!” The Dark Lord screamed as he watched Lyon, he had been depressed right since the moment he had ran away from the fight with Lyon.“I should have killed him, I could have killed him! Why didn’t I kill him?!” The questions lived rent free in his head, he had the upper hand for hours but he still couldn’t take down Lyon.He could have stomped on him and right now, he would have become history but he didn’t have the power to do that even after all his bluffs.The Dark Lord watched as Lyon roamed around without veiling his presence and he knew that it was on purpose and Lyon was only checking to see if he was going to send monsters.He wanted to, he wanted to send multiple powerful monsters Lyon’s way but on a second though he stopped it, he wanted to have the satisfaction of killing Lyon himself.Having a monster do that wouldn’t give him that satisfaction, he wanted to stomp on Lyon’s pride, he wanted to do things that would make Lyon see it clearly that he’s not supposed to

Everyone’s eyes widened as Lyon’s arms fell to his side, something pricked at his chest and his eyes glistened with so much anger that he was trying to blink back.“Check, Elen, isn’t there anyone alive?” He asked as he prepared to join her, “I’ll be with you soon.” He added, his heart pounding against his chest.Flames of anger licked through him and he felt as though he was going to explode from rage as molten anger rolled over him. He instructed Asher, Kelvin, Chelsey and Abraham to stay back while he checked on the situation but they all weren’t ready to stay back.“If you’re going then we’re going with you,” Asher said firmly, it was the first time his voice was so audible that they didn’t need to ask him over and over again about what he said.Lyon didn’t want them to go with him, he recounted the fight he had with the Dark Lord in his head and he shuddered, he had survived for some reasons but judging by the intensity of the Dark Lord’s power, he felt like it would be better fo
