Garden

After getting out of class, Paul headed for the outskirts of the city, he was willing to spend the rest of the day killing monsters and climbing to level 25. He wanted to be closer to level 30, however the weather in this place as well as the reality was beginning to change. From one moment to the next, it started to snow. He looked at the sky and preferred not to approach the place, as he knew that each time the juice was a little more complex. The improvements were evident, they were so real that they made the black-haired boy go back to his house. It looked like a storm was about to start.

Paul turned back towards the residential area, where the noble people of the city lived. He started walking as if it was nothing, but being in such an exclusive place, he found himself face to face with local families. They were all well-dressed and looked very strong, all of them were over level 60. They all ignore him just like a group of kids once did, but this time someone spoke to him.

"What are you doing here?"

"Hey, are you talking to me?"

"Yeah, who else?"

Paul was surprised, he didn't know what to say to them, but he assumed that they had a rather offensive position against him, so he just answered them in the most respectful way and according to the position he had this time.

"I was the betrothed of a princess. She helped me to live in a place according to my condition. If there are no more questions, I have to go."

One of them was not convinced by what he heard and pulled out his wand.

"You talk too much, I don't understand how the princess of another country lets something like you engage with her."

Paul knew this was not going to be a normal conversation and the people in this city were not kind-hearted people, or anything like that. He grabbed his wand and tried to prepare for a magical combat, but out of nowhere the teacher appeared.

The four men who were there were surprised to see him and fell silent.

"Professor Irene, what are you doing here?"

"I live near here. I also come from the royal family, I think we are neighbors. Avoid getting into trouble, or it will reflect on the school as well."

Paul didn't understand what was going on. It was rare for him to see something like this. He had never met someone from the game in a different place before. So he weighed that it was a coincidence, but he started to come to a conclusion that he should investigate it a bit. He wasn't going to follow her now, but he was going to take her behavior into account.

Upon returning home, Paul was greeted by his mother and his little brothers. He didn't care much for them at first, but gradually grew fond of them. The change of house had changed everyone's life.

Their new home was much bigger and better. They had no trouble eating like before. Today dinner was meat with vegetables and wine.

Paul wanted to learn how to make food with magic, but he knew his magic wasn't long-lasting, so he didn't know if the food he would create would help his stats go up.

When his mom served dinner on the table, he was the first to taste it and without hesitation ate it all in a matter of seconds.

<<Family 55>>

<<Muscle mass 40>>

<<Overweight 20>>

Paul felt a little calmer as he saw the family statistic go up, but he wanted to avoid being overweight. He didn't want to be fat as it could cause him problems in the future. The black-haired boy didn't stay there long, leaving the house soon after.

The next day Paul went out again, however on the street he saw that it was still not raining. The sky had turned completely black, so at any moment it would rain or snow there. Paul wanted to know what the rain was like in this place, so he preferred to get a little wet. He tried to walk around a bit while that was happening.

Suddenly he saw someone very strange. He had a red cloak, black pants and a sword. It was Matheus, but he had a different attitude. He did not try to talk to him. However, this guy spoke to him.

"The game gave me a side mission even though I finished it. So I'll have to beat up some players."

Paul was surprised to hear him, he didn't know what to tell him, but he managed to see his level as soon as he saw him.

"You're level 40. Obviously, you'd beat any player!"

"For now, that's my role in this city!"

Paul panicked at that moment, he thought he would probably do something to humiliate him and wanted to leave.

"Don't worry, as long as you're a new bass, you're not my target. I've been here for hours because the game told me to. I have to face some players coming from another city. With you I will play when you reach level 30 and be careful, I might kill you. If you want to level up and be an outstanding student go to the castle, there are some outside quests you can do."

The black haired boy calmed down when he heard him and walked away from him. He was curious to hear about the castle. He didn't know what he was going to find there. He was a little uneasy and went there before the weather got colder.

[...]

In the castle there was quite a lot of security. Despite being a place made of stone and brick. With a rather rustic touch externally.

Surprisingly, there were areas that were unguarded. Paul didn't want to get into trouble, but he tried to do something rather unusual. He started looking for a way in. There were only guards at the entrance and at the top.

Paul tried to enter it through the bushes in the garden. They were quite large and some of them had spikes. With some difficulty, he stepped over them and managed to get in, but his health was down by 8 points.

<<Health 92>>

The garden was also made of flowers and roses with thorns.

It was a really strange area for Paul, the place looked like a maze. In a surprising way for Paul, it happened what he had been told by the player he had talked to.

<<New mission open>>

<<Eliminate all enemies>>.

Out of nowhere appeared dozens of royal guards and wizards. All level 30.

It looked like some kind of trap or place to level up, seeing that he could beat those people, Paul used one of his common spells, but he shaped them this time.

"Wall of ice."

Everyone was covered in ice and little by little the health of most of them dropped to 75, but they quickly came back out. Paul was a bit uneasy, his energy was slowly being restored and the energy he had was not much, he could cast two spells again, and he would be out in the open from whatever his opponents did. So he tried to put into practice what he learned from the books and what he rehearsed. He thought of a fire and sand spell. He immediately called out the name of one of the spells.

"Field of fire."

The entire garden of began to burn, and the guards and wizards began to lose quite a bit of health. Paul now prepared to buy time or cast some spells to defend himself and wait for the rest of his energy to be restored. However, his opponents were not monsters, so they had another way to act. They threw a flurry of coordinated spells at him.

Balls of fire and chunks of ice fell from the sky. It was so fast that Paul came up with a type of iron shield, but, he forgot that he only knew elemental magic, so he had to make it out of stone and sand.

"Stone barrier."

Unfortunately for him, it was difficult, as he had to endure that attack that broke through the barrier he had made. He suffered a few goals and scratches on his body. He had no more energy, he had to wait a while, since those spells consumed a lot of energy. His only hope was to resist a little longer. Although it was more than ten minutes. However, no matter how hard he tried, he was not strong enough to withstand it.

In a matter of seconds it shattered into pieces and various objects fell around it. Until Paul was left out in the open and to his fate.

He had no choice but to try to run a little. He looked at the group of people he was fighting with. He noticed that his power managed to take away more than half of everyone's health. However, he was at a disadvantage, the wounds inflicted by his opponents were very serious. The most serious on his arms and his health had dropped.

<<Health 25>>

Again he was on the edge and didn't know what to do. He felt quite bad, he did not want to die, but the situation forced him to make a complicated decision. In the short time he was enduring each of the attacks. He had only one chance. So he decided to use what little energy he had left and cast a spell to trap them all and lock them in.

"Ice Tomb."

They were all trapped in a thick layer of ice that ran over his head. It was the only spell he felt would do him enough good to buy him time and take away the health of his opponents.

He stood there, waiting to regain his energy to give them the final blow, he knew they wouldn't stay in that place for long, and he had to finish them off at the exact moment they came out. The few minutes he was there, he looked at the place where he was. It was a kind of dungeon. There was only a garden of flowers and roses all over the place, it seemed infinite, and the sky was completely clear.

Suddenly he began to see how little by little the ice began to crack. Paul had a few minutes left before he had enough energy.

He didn't know what to do at that moment, so he took advantage of the few seconds to take some positions and regain his health. However, in that short time, one of the wizards came out of nowhere and broke the whole block of ice that had trapped them.

Paul was scared, he knew it was his end, with a single simultaneous attack from all of them he would die.
