Power

Both men approached the principal and Paul, it was clear that they did not have good intentions. Until the man who ran the school spoke to them and warned them.

"If you come any closer. I am not going to answer for what will happen to you. I'm just asking you to leave and don't come back."

One of the men began to laugh in a somewhat unhinged manner. It got to the point that even the director was scared and one of the strange guys decided to take off the hood he was wearing at that moment and let his face be seen.

He was a fairly young guy, no older than 28 and had brown horses.

"You?" said between teeth the director who was completely surprised to see him.

"Yes it's me dear headmaster, I see that now you are really afraid of me, the dark magic of the elves is quite good, look at me, I'm already fully healed. How about a battle to show you my new power?"

Before that man continued speaking. A pair of chains came out of nowhere and caught the two suspicious people. Even Paul didn't realize at what point he had recited the spell. He was quite surprised. At that moment, he became curious and wanted to learn how to do magic without relying on a wand, but it was something he had to learn himself.

"Young Paul, you can train if you want, I have other important things to do with these young people who have gone down bad paths, don't worry everything will be fine."

The black-haired boy decided to listen to him and slowly made his way towards the coliseum. He was very uneasy, seeing the situation in that place. He knew that it was likely that something bad would happen, but he still had to become strong to continue doing the missions without so much trouble.

[...]

Paul was already in the coliseum. He was completely alone, no one would interrupt him at that time. So he could afford to make artificial things and then change them without having to resort to forbidden or dark magic.

He started with an element spell. This time an earth type, but he was thinking of something real to start shaping a structure.

"Earthen table."

Out of nowhere, a table of sand and mud was created. Paul came up with that object and out of nowhere and wanted to do something else to it. He put in other material objects.

"Ice cups."

In a matter of seconds, he had a table with glasses. All that was missing were the chairs, but he wasn't in that place to do household things. He tried to create something bigger. And he decided on a sand house. He just wanted to avoid overstepping the boundaries of the coliseum, so he concentrated a bit.

"Sand house."

Out of nowhere he already had a small little house with no doors and no rooms, only the four walls and a roof of that material.

Seeing her work, she felt quite happy. She had learned to master the basic spells and to create objects of different materials to her liking. Now she had to learn how to cast the forbidden spells. I try to make something basic and change the composition of what I create.

"Wooden house."

Paul's attempt was thwarted, he noticed that another house had appeared over the one he had created. What he had attempted had been a complete disaster. He felt quite annoyed. He didn't know if it was because of the barrier or if he had failed to analyze the spell properly.

He was too insecure and preferred to avoid looking for trouble and another punishment from the game, so he kept casting more spells, to start analyzing his magic limit. He didn't want to keep depending on his luck.

He looked at the stats he had in the game, but this time he looked at his strength and agility, they were at less than 30. The maximum energy he could handle was at 65 points. It was far below the rest of the people in this world. Since his family did not come from the royal lineage, and he was the simple son of two normal people.

He wanted to check again what was in the books. He wanted to look for some instruction to raise the magic limit. So little by little he opened them, just by opening it, he already had all that knowledge in his mind, but unfortunately what he was looking for was not there.

He sat down on the floor and held his head, he did not understand how he could improve in such low stats, which was basically his Achilles heel. That was his main problem, what set him apart from the rest of the players and people in the game. The only thing that came to his mind was to look at the mission.

He just had to finish the school, which could take him months or even years. He still didn't understand how school worked in this world. So he picked himself up off the ground and tried to get back to his house. He had a lot to learn from the game and even he himself knew that it wasn't that easy to level up, no matter how hard he tried, all of a sudden a warning popped up for him.

<<Fatigue 70>>

<<The Player must rest a little>>.

Seeing that announcement. Paul came to the conclusion that he should take this statistic into account. Since he ignored it by not considering it important, for several days.

[...]

Paul returned home and dinner was served on a wooden table, it was still warm, his mother and his brothers from the game were asleep.

The boy sat down at the table and wanted to practice with the food, but in the end he didn't, he just took the pieces of bread and tasted them. Something very strange for him, since in the weeks he had been in the game he had never eaten anything, he only gave them to the dogs in the street.

When he took the first bite, he felt strange and noticed that some statistics began to rise.

<<Muscle mass 15>>

<<Overweight 8>>>

To Paul, that didn't make sense, but it interested him a little. The game handled a lot of stats, which he ignored in his eagerness to finish it and have more energy. So he continued eating the pieces of bread that were there. In a matter of seconds, he finished.

Immediately, the game showed him how his stats went up a bit.

<<Muscle mass 25>>

<<Overweight 10>>

For Paul, it was somewhat interesting to see those changes. He thought about trying other foods, but remembered his social status here. As much as his friends gave him some of their money, he would need a lot to keep doing missions. He wanted to do a lot of things, but he didn't know if the game would allow it. One of his ideas was to buy another house and buy more food. Since the money he had was enough to live in better conditions than the one he was living in. They were all simple ideas that he just had to try to make real.

[...]

The next day, Paul went to a house that was in a noble area. It was two-story and looked quite nice. Its value was between 8 million coins, so the black-haired boy had no problem buying it. The only thing that had him thinking was that he had to find a source of income to buy the food and everything he needed while living here.

After seeing the house, he went to the commercial area and looked for a place to buy and manage it. Since in some games, he could do something like that to get money.

Paul walked up to a stall where they sold fruit and looked at the options.

<<BUY>>

<<SEE VENDOR INFO>>.

He chose the option to view seller information and the game showed him the sales statistics and price of that stall. He did not hesitate to buy the stall for five hundred thousand coins.

<<BUY STALL>>

He chose that option and the system sent him a warning.

<<BOUGHT STALL>>

He immediately saw how he lost five hundred thousand coins. Despite getting that small fruit stall, he was not satisfied and looked for another one, he thought about buying more than eight and with that he would be more relaxed. He only hoped to make enough profit not to worry about money as he continued to move forward.

[...]

Almost by noon Paul had bought nine stalls selling different objects. It cost him almost half his money. So now he had to leave immediately to buy the house and take his family there, but as he was on his way there. He saw several of his companions who were just living nearby. The black-haired boy knew that they might treat him badly, as his reputation had gone down, but still he walked past them and those people ignored him.

Paul didn't care about them and just went back to the house that was for sale. He looked at its price again and clicked the option to buy. Immediately, the game took away some of the money he had.

The house was unlocked, and Paul tried to go inside. He saw a rather beautiful place, with beige walls, and columns in the shape of a circle. It was quite a big place compared to the humble house where he lived.

He walked around the place and noticed that there were almost five rooms and a huge living room. He knew he had to buy more things to give the place a nice look, so he had to go back to the commercial area of the city and buy more things.

All of a sudden, it occurred to him to create different objects for the house. It seemed to him something quite suitable and easy to do. So he slowly started to remember some table designs from his life on earth.

"Wooden table set".

In a matter of seconds, the looked like wooden tables and chairs in disarray. It made Paul a little uneasy to see this, but he wasn't sure that those objects lasted long in that state, so he began to remember what he had read in some books about elemental magic.

He put his hand to his face and found in his memory what he was looking for. The magic he used was not long-lasting, for that you needed more complex spells, as it took a lot of energy. Perhaps much more than he had.

Seeing that none of his magic would work. Paul decided to leave the house, however in front of him a strange man appeared. He didn't look like a player, nor a person from the game. The hair boy felt nervous, he thought it was a mistake of the game.
