Tti-ring!

Tti-ring!

The sounds of incoming messages kept on going off in Hal's head.

"That was one hell of a fight, but I'm pretty sure the rewards will be worth it."

After the fight, Hal was feeling tired, so the first thing he did was open the store and buy a healing potion.

Shrrr

He felt the refreshing feeling wash over him and immediately felt better.

"Ah, that's more like it; now it's time for my rewards."

Name: Hal Rodgraim

Level: 12

Class: D

Title: None

HP: 250

LF: 15%

[Stat]

Strength: 35

Stamina: 20

Agility: 20

Speed: 23

Intelligence: 15

Perception: 20

(Available points to distribute: 20)

[Skills]

Passive skills:

Tenacity Lv. 1

Composure Lv. 1

Active skills:

Dash Lv. 1

Wow, he truly had gained a lot during this raid.

His stats had gone up by a lot and he even got a new skill to boot, not to mention his class had gone up a rank.

That in itself, was enough reason for him to feel excited.

"Time to share the stat points then."

"Add five points each to the strength, stamina, speed, and intelligence stats.."

[Stat]

Strength: 40

Stamina: 25

Agility: 20

Speed: 28

Intelligence: 25

Perception: 20

There was a reason for him to add the points that way.

During the fight against the Boss, he had learned four things.

One, his strength stat mattered, he could have easily dealt more damage to the Boss monster had he had a higher level of strength.

Two, he had quickly gotten tired due to low stamina, and he couldn't afford such repeating itself, so he had to increase his stamina stat.

Three, speed. His normal speed was not enough to outrun the boss monster so he had to rely on the skill 'dash' and his perception to successfully counter its attacks and match its speed.

And lastly.

The intelligence stat. That was the most important lesson he had learned today.

The intelligence stat truly helped him in his fight today.

Earlier, when he was battling the monster, he had seen some white lines in some places around the monster's body, which he had guessed were the weak points, and he later got to confirm that when he struck the monster in the head.

So he decided to invest more in those areas.

Now for the new skill, he had learned.

- New skill 'sprint' has been learned (unread)

Active skill:

- Dash Lv. 1

- Sprint Lv. 1

Hal looked at it as if to bore a hole through it and the description came up.

Active skill 'Sprint': When this skill is activated, the Host speed shall be increased by 30% for 10 minutes. It has a cool-down time of 1 hour.

"Great, another speed-related skill."

Next up on the reward message were

[You have discovered 'Item: Steel Talons of Kaisan Lycan'. Take it?]

[You have discovered 'Item: Steel heart of Kaisan Lycan'. Take it?]

"Take them all."

As soon as he said those words, a dagger made out of what he guessed must have been the talons of the monster and a steel black magic crystal appeared in his hands.

[Item: Steel Talons of Kaisan Lycan]

Rarity: C

Type: Dagger

Attack: + 25

A dagger fashioned from the talons of the Kaisan Lycan. Extremely durable.

[Item: Steel heart of Kaisan Lycan]

Rarity: C

Type: Magic crystal

It can be used to create a magical potion that permanently increases agility and stamina by 10 points.

It also has the effect of reducing physical damage by 5%.

Hal's expression was one of pure joy.

He had truly gained a lot today and all the rewards were nothing to scoff at.

+ 10 points to his stamina and agility stats, permanently.

Just how cool that was.

With a joyful expression, he stored both items inside his inventory.

It was a good thing he had received a dagger as one of the rewards.

His dual daggers Mystic had gained a few cracks due to the tough fights it had gone through today.

So he was going to keep them in the inventory till they were good to use again.

Yes, like every other weapon made from a magic crystal, the weapon from the system also repaired itself after taking damage.

All that was needed was some time of dormancy for the weapon.

As he happily counted the loot he had gained, it was then that a new message popped up.

[With the death of the Boss, you will be transported back to the entrance point.]

Suddenly, his sight blurred for a bit, and then, they were restored to normal, along with a slight bit of dizziness assaulting his senses.

He looked around and found himself in front of the stadium in a sitting position.

He quickly stood up to avoid people seeing him sitting in front of a stadium.

"Don't want them getting the wrong ideas," Hal said with a wry smile on his face.

Most people could take him as a weirdo and start saying things, but when he looked around, he could see that the sky was dark, and everyone seemed to be on their way home, so no one paid any attention to him.

"Huh? Is it that late already?"

What was the time now?

He brought out his phone and looked at the screen, it was a few minutes past ten in the night.

He had entered the dungeon around 2 in the noon, meaning he had spent 8 hours in the dungeon.

"Woah, I never knew I took that long."

"Ok, time to go home."

He pulled up his hoodie and took a step forward.

[Skill dash has been activated]

Hal got home a few moments later and found the door to the apartment building locked.

The landlord had a strict policy of late-night entry, and anything beyond ten in the night; he'd close the doors of the apartment building.

"Shit, what am I going to do now?"

Hal thought for some while before coming up with an idea.

"It isn't the best idea, but it's my only chance at a good night's rest, so..."

Hal walked to the side of the building, into the alley where the window of their apartment was, and slightly bent down as he prepared himself to run.

"I'm gonna need a lot of speed, so I guess I'ma use it now."

[Skill Sprint has been activated.]

He tapped and bounced off the sides of both walls while running upward and made use of Windows as support to climb up.

"Argh."

He finally got to their window and slowly and quietly opened it.

The room was dark, which meant his sister must have been asleep.

As he sneakily entered the room, he suddenly heard a voice talk as the dark room went bright with light.

"Where have you been all day?"

Hal's hand that was holding the window up, slipped, and it fell on it.

"Ouch!"

He screamed as he slipped and fell on the floor.

The sound of swords cutting flesh, and the sound of heads being ripped off by monsters could be heard, and the smell of blood and gore filled everywhere, this place could have been said to be a battlefield, except the battle was between just twelve Hunters and a horde of monsters, so it could almost be said to be a one-sided massacre. "Retreat!" The voice of Mr. Jack could be heard calling out to the rest of the Hunters, as the monsters were just too many and couldn't be dealt with head-on by just a couple of Hunters; that would be suicide. If they were going to win this thing, they needed a solid plan and fast. "Everyone, head towards that cave." Mr Jack shouted as he pointed towards a cave a couple of feet away from where they were fighting. The rest of the Hunters yielded his call and started running toward the cave while still fending off the monsters. "Ah! No, no!" A Hunter screamed as he was dragged by a monster while running before being torn to pieces by its mates. "

However, that man was effectively evading all the attacks and even seemed to have the upper hand, as he was getting closer to the monster and posing more threats to it. As everyone was wondering who that was, Sir Jack quickly made use of the eye lens piece attached to the helmet and zoomed in on the fight. "Huh!" He let out a gasp, not believing the face that showed in his lenses. It was that of the E-rank Hunter, he had hired.
