Zora’s lips curved into an enigmatic smile, a glint of determination in her eyes. ''Closure, Mother. Sometimes, to move forward, we must first say goodbye to the dead before we embrace the living.'’

Madame Ruthie scrutinized her daughter, the unsettling tranquility in Zora's demeanor sending a shiver down her spine. It was so out of character for her, especially after the tempest of emotions she had just exhibited.

"What do you mean by ‘closure,’ Zora?" Madame Ruthie's voice trembled with skepticism.

Zora turned her gaze to the rain-drenched window, her fingertips drumming anxiously on the glass. "The kind of closure that finally lays the past to rest," she murmured, almost as if the words were too heavy to utter aloud.

"Madame Eliza meant something to the Reeds. Attending her funeral is my way of honoring that—and reminding a few people that I’m still very much here."
