At that moment, Eleanor heard Alexander’s voice and rushed over, throwing herself into his arms, crying bitterly.

Alexander comforted her with a few words: “Alright, alright, I'm fine. See, I’m out now, aren’t I?"

In the living room, the family sat together.

Valeria and Rodger sat on the sofa, their sharp eyes filled with anger, glaring at Alexander with a strong sense of accusation.

Beside Alexander sat an old man, none other than Sherman.

Valeria kept staring at Sherman, her face displeased: “Alexander, who is this old man? Why did you bring a stranger into my house?"

Valeria didn’t like the way the old man dressed at all. He was so old, yet still wore a suit, holding a black box she had never seen before, with a smile on his face.

Just one look, and she could tell he was up to no good.

No wonder Alexander got arrested, hanging around with someone like this.

Alexander explained calmly: “Mother, he’s... a friend of mine. I was able to get out this time thanks to his connections."
