4 Our dreams are mirrors to the future of life...

I woke up from a strange feeling: it seemed as if I was falling somewhere into the void, the hands of the clock were spinning before my eyes, and some terrible and painfully familiar faces flickered in the distance ...

Yesterday's dialogue with the biologist seemed like some kind of nonsense. “This is a dream,” I assured myself, “How can this be real? - Combing her hair, she looked at herself in the mirror, - These stars on my cheek ... where did they come from? Before I woke up in the forest, they didn't exist before! What do they mean and how did they appear? I tried deleting it, but it didn't work. It seemed that the signs were forever fused with the skin, as if they personified some kind of sign - a mark.

Where did that horse come from? Who is he? I remember everything - my simple, unremarkable, one might even say, gray life - daily attendance at school, quarrels and joys, hopes to meet something that will change this grayness ... - That's it! - I realized, - But I imagined it in a completely different way! ... "

Soon I heard steps coming from the corridor - it was my companion - Luna. Now, as always before, she listened to music. She didn't go to sleep, because she didn't sleep at all. Never. An amazing and painfully beautiful feature of the body, don't you think?

Anyway, I've never seen it! Sometimes with the girls we even laughed at her, calling her a sleepwalker.

But what poems did this girl write! Blue-eyed Malvina with pointed ears - how beautiful she was! Exposing her face to the moonlight, she, without looking at the paper, created masterpieces, weaving words into unimaginable rhymes!

While I was getting dressed, she showed me her new poetry sketches. By the way, I worked for her as a kind of proofreader. If they could publish them, then, without a doubt, they would become the most famous poets in the school! These were only dreams, but as the Moon herself said, nothing is impossible!

We headed down the corridor to the dining room, as usual, having met our friends there.

Luna never ate. I took tomato juice and my favorite roast, Luna just sat next to me .. In my opinion, it is very convenient not to sleep and not to eat. In such a life there should be much less trifling worries than, for example, mine! But I can’t say that Luna was so happy, because always, when it came to her parents, she brushed it off, saying that she was an orphan.

But today we were warned by a big surprise, bigger than the daily "whims" of my neighbor-poetess. Anfissa was scared. Interrupting us and stuttering, she told what happened yesterday.

-…when I looked out of the window, I saw a blinding fireball. He darted in front of the wall, hitting the masonry of huge blocks, leaving frightening marks on the black surface! Once again approaching the window opening, I realized that he was about to fall into it and burn it, so I hid in the safe twilight of the room as quickly as possible, and when I looked out again, there was no trace of him! But in the distance I saw a shadow, incredibly similar to a biologist!

- What was he doing there? - Sasha was surprised.

- Like someone in the library! - I said, looking around, - A bookworm, worse than Nikollo! - I still fancied Tsyin's face, - what if he is following me?

- Can't be?

-At 10 pm? - sneered Vega

- No, before ... - the red-haired man realized that he had blundered stupidity.

- You, I'm sure, barely remember what you dreamed, what lessons?

- I dreamed... - he thought, - Hmm... It was something truly worthy of a story! I don't remember well, but I think I saw some monsters... They were our teachers, we were afraid of them... Very much... And they ran away...

-Rave! Vega snapped.

-Who would doubt, fools dream a lot of things! Haha!

-Hey!

- Girls! - I exclaimed, - And the boys! - she added, looking at Lan, - All this again proves the need for our observations!

   Becca nodded.

- Yes, I understand, but it's all so ... incomprehensible! And so unusual for me...

- Be extremely careful with teachers! Although I “follow” La Cass, but since there are no lessons from him today, I can help one of you, - and she extended her hand to Anfissa.

"That's great," she whispered. And then I have a historian!

The bell rang. Everyone went to class. And only out of the corner of my eye I noticed that the Moon imperceptibly moved away from the crowd, as if waiting for someone behind the column ... What if it was she who was following me?

“Ah, Clio Carrow! Are you who you are called? - the girl could hardly contain her laughter, - But I know everything about you!

***

The first lesson was biology, surprisingly quiet and rather boring. At that very moment, as never before, it clearly seemed to me that they would say to me: “Cleo, you invented all this!” “But what if this is true? One shadow doesn't mean it's a haunted house. Although, who knows? I didn't want to think about it. The teacher was as if nothing had happened, - Or did he hide his feelings?

The long-awaited change has arrived. Everyone stormed out of their offices. They fluttered about like birds escaping from a cage, finally freed.

The corridor was long, with many doors opening in all directions. There were a lot of people around. It got to the point that they were simply knocked down.

‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍

 Sasha was with me.

“Well, how is surveillance?” she asked.

I shrugged my shoulders, I confess, I didn’t know what to say, when I suddenly saw Anfissa running in the distance.

-I saw it! Such a thing!... - out of breath, she shouted, - Sarro! La Casse!... He was standing in the doorway of his office, slightly shutting the door and drinking something red, I don't know what exactly! I gasped, he saw me and darted down the corridor with his mysterious bottle!

- Do you think it's about her? Sasha asked.

“Maybe it’s wine or some kind of drug?” Lan whispered.

-Wine! Oh, how funny! - shouted out Sondra passing by, - Who is going to drink here? Don't forget to invite us too! Ha ha ha!

- What if! - the majority agreed, - That's why he is so "strange"!

That's why he's evil!

- Here is the information for the diary, - I whispered, - Thank you Anfi for telling me. You are "lucky" to see this!

- Yes, I told you! - squeaked, - He's a goth! And mows!

Vampirishko our Sarro ... - I nodded, grinning. “Plus in my favor! But what if it's tomato juice? After all, it is often served to us in the dining room! However, hence the new question: why him ?

- It's impossible not to notice! If only you could see his eyes! This genuine horror and scarlet cheeks! In my opinion, he was very sorry that he caught my eye!

- Don't talk, - Sasha.

-And why so?

- The matter becomes more serious than I thought ... - concluded in response.

The history lesson has arrived. Once again, everything was incredibly calm: there was no Lay's pranks, no talking, no shouting. Only Luna obeyed the past, lying on the desk and closing her eyes. At first I thought that she was sleeping, but then I realized that I was mistaken. "Malvina" was clearly trying to hide something by covering her hair, only they were too short for her, that's why she was lying. She wrote something, as always in her small, illegible handwriting, her lines merged into barely distinguishable lines. Coincidence or not, I was sitting right behind her.

The voice from the computer was talking about some kind of battle. Sondra, as always, lay and listened to music. Lay was playing on the phone. It seems that he has already played all possible games, but he is still not enough!

Nicollo kept a close eye on me. The fact that he was dead and couldn't be physically present was just a bonus now. “Can she really change this whole ossified world that has developed?” he thought, “It remains to be hoped that time will judge us in our favor.”

I imperceptibly got up - the interest to look at the scribbles of the Moon took over me. And then on the edge of her desk I saw a huge spider! Looking almost point blank, the girl screamed, thereby attracting the attention of the others. I turned around and immediately saw the same guest on my table! Gradually, they began to crawl out from everywhere! From walls, even from briefcases.

Panic set in. In surprise, clumsy Len overturned 3 chairs and almost hurt himself on the fourth one. There was no mention of a lesson. “Now, if there was a class teacher in place, perhaps everything would be different! ... Hee-hee! It wouldn't! I know from experience! One little bat was enough to disrupt the lesson and the teacher didn't help! - I thought in the bustle, - But if ... "

Nicollo darted from side to side. "How?! It's all her, the blue-haired girl! How much I told Sarro to re-educate her! I'm afraid she really doesn't share our goal, on the contrary, she only makes it worse! Oh those kids...

We must immediately put Elrond and Sarro in the course of events!

Whether the bell rang or not, I don’t know, the screams and slamming of doors drowned it out, students of all classes ran to the exit. However, Luna seemed completely unperturbed. At first, I saw her silhouette in the distance, after which he disappeared somewhere in the crowd. Someone shouted, someone was happy to see such a sight; some were shaking with fear, some even said that he had already been bitten by a multi-fingered creature.

The students who ran away from the lessons, mostly not out of fear, but for the sake of the desire to mow down the lessons, dispersed in all directions, even into the forest.

- Stop! - I thought, - and who did you see there, under the flashes of balloons?

- I'm not sure and I could be wrong, - Anfissa hesitated, - You know: fear has big eyes. AND…

- And fear from what?

A warm breeze touched our faces.

- Oh, it's all for nothing! ...

"What are we going to do now?" Becca asked, shivering.

-First of all: you need to stick to the group!

“Then I don’t want to upset you, but where is the Moon?” Karme stared at me.

We looked around. There were not so many students around, and our friend, as she always dyed her hair blue on purpose. You see, I didn't want to be blonde. Or maybe there was another reason? However, to my surprise, it was hard to make out her silhouette now. She was nowhere! We rushed around, the girls around the neighborhood, Len looked behind the nearest trees, but everywhere was empty!

It's like she vanished into thin air! Shaking his head, he muttered indignantly.

- ... and where did you come from? - I asked the girls.

-I don't remember…

- Are you a local?

- Yeah. From Fig mountain. It's not that close.

-Where did you study before? And why did you switch?

-As where? At school, - the redhead was embarrassed, without giving a clear answer.

- Hmm, okay. If you don't want to, don't tell. Us something? - responded Karme and went to the castle.

"What's wrong with your nose?" Vega asked, pointing to the scratch.

- Branches ... Who planted so many pines ?!

***

There were no more excited voices. The schoolchildren calmed down, and when they returned, they found that the spiders had disappeared with fear ...

-12.45..- whispered Becca, looking at her watch.

I pushed her to the side.

- Meet at 15, under "our" door!

She blinked twice, signifying agreement. The door meant Becky's room, five meters from Lunina and mine. Only girls lived so close to each other, the boys were on the other side of the castle. By the way, our animals also lived with us, if there were any - for example, Becky had a black kitten.

“It's not all that bad!” I reasoned. “Given what is happening, there is no time left to do homework at all,” a casual glance at the clock, “Where am I going to go? You say, look for adventure on your own head? I'm afraid that's the way it is..."

Two o'clock in the afternoon. The moon is not even there! My excitement grew, accompanied by a plaintive meow behind the wall. I looked around and everything was the same. Only my diary of observing la Casse was lying on the floor, a disheveled bird, open to a blank page and hastily pushed under the bed!

-What does it mean?! I gasped as I took a couple of steps closer. Starting to flip through, I didn’t see anything new: not a single new entry, drawing or note.

“What is he to her? – I wondered, - We came up with this idea together! And what could she have against it? Why should she protect them ? And did she keep a diary? Alas, I wasted my time looking for it.

Every day my opinion about her raised more and more questions. I did not understand her: the moon was very different from the rest. As a friend, I had to endure this, but deep down I knew that every day the distance between us is becoming more and more. I don't know a lot about her. So many…

Time flew by unnoticed, I looked at the clock and ran out of the room. As I slammed the door, it seemed to me that a shadow flickered in the distance. Something seemed to tell me that it wasn't Becky's shadow.

"We can't catch anyone's eye!" she worried.

“Is he really cowardly?” - flashed through my head, “Maybe I should have gone with Sasha?” But it was too late to change anything...

We walked quietly down the corridor.

The quiet friend of mine was the ideal student in terms of behavior. No unfinished tasks. Not a single superfluous, and even more so - a rude word. However, despite such a reputation, she was lonely and did not have close friends.

She said that it all started when it turned out that she was the only one in the class who did not have a boyfriend.

- Do not worry, - I reassured, - Because of such nonsense, not to have friends and withdraw?

“It was a long time ago,” Becca said, smiling, and continued: Since then, coincidence or not, in a very short time I fell in love.

-Congratulations! Am I alone now ?

- Just imagine! - the black-haired woman sighed, - I'm ashamed to talk about it, suddenly you will react like everyone else.

- What's the matter? - I was surprised, - well, if you start - tell me!

-He…I made him up myself…my perfect boyfriend…I can describe him in detail! We've never met in our lives, but I know him like I've known forever! I dream of him... almost every night... It's so strange, I don't know why all this and what to do... I must have gone crazy...

- Don't worry like that! Everyone has their own ideal!

- No, - the friend waved it off, - Mine, he is special ...

-Don't worry like that!

-Do you really think so? Thanks Clio! That you are not like them ... but the whole trouble is that I want to meet him, and every day I am convinced that there is no such thing in this world! I am very upset by this...

-Come on, in this world, - I repeated the phrase I liked, - You will meet! Everything has its time!

She paused, blushing, probably thinking of Him again.

- Aren't we going in circles by any chance? - Becca asked after a while.

And suddenly, in the distance, something lit up.

-Behind me!...

***

   He was outraged.

- ... how did you let it happen ?! Missed lessons? Because of some spiders? What nonsense! Where did you just get them?! - Omederro frantically ran his hand across the table, looking for his favorite. For those who do not know: the director had a special "love" for spiders - arachnophilia. In the office, he even had his own "menagerie": a spider proudly named Kyle with several broods of offspring. And if you think deeply, being inextricably in your tower and endlessly giving out orders, Omederro himself resembled a spider. The teachers were tightly bound by his web of evil, having no right to betray thanks to a special bloody oath. It happened almost as soon as the school was created, 22 years ago. In confirmation of the oath, you can see on everyone who gave it a special sign on their hand in the form of two crossed crosses. Just be careful hiding this secret, teachers can kill you,

There was a case when one of the teachers wanted to break the oath, for which he paid heavily. For the sake of his own reputation, I will not disclose the name.

Omederro's desk was always littered with hundreds of papers covered in crooked signatures. In addition to decrees and signatures, the director did nothing. He had neither a hobby nor any other business of the soul, there was only an expectation. He passionately hoped that he would be able to accomplish his revenge. Revive your brother. And then… He himself did not know about the future either. Fearful and cautious by nature, he himself never undertook anything. Yes, he was strong, but this strength rather slumbered in him. A werewolf or a person, in this time and place he was only a director, fearing to death for his life, he even left the tower only for extremely unexpected circumstances. Omederro was not afraid of others. He didn't care about them or their lives. Die or stay alive - that's their business, but only observe it. But despite this, he understood that in this way he brought even greater danger to himself. And then!...

He did not give advice, but only got angry for not following his orders. He was incredibly selfish, soulless and even a little narcissistic. He did not even appreciate his own work - the search for his loyal subjects, although this remained forever in his memory.

There was an elegant golden cage on the table, and Kayla lived in it. Huge furry female tarantula. Omederro gazed with reverence through it at what was going on two steps away from him. There is no doubt that a casual viewer would have received a heart attack from such, but not Omederro!

Why is the girl still at school? I told you to exclude it!

- I said, sir, she did not understand!

-So, say it again!

- What will it change, - the mathematician intervened, - we do not have such evidence that we could present to her.

-But she...she is Kerrow!

- Ha, she doesn’t know the “magic” meaning of her last name. So what's the point of excluding?

-Then it must be killed! - exclaimed Omederro - Immediately!

-What if someone asks? What to answer?

-Nothing! Went into the woods and disappeared. What is not plausible?

-Quite...

- And who should kill, sir? - the biologist mumbled.

- Decide for yourself! The main thing is the result!

- But Omederro!...

- So, I'm waiting for your excuses!

For a moment the teacher's silence.

“Everyone treats me with distrust because of such a small stature!” An old man in a red cap waved his hands, which you can’t call except a dwarf.

-..last night one of them saw me near the forest! I could not test the weapon, sir!

- You're still lucky, - a man with a greenish face barked at him, - You, unlike me ... are alive ! - just one look at him breathed cold and anxiety. Elrond tried with all his appearance not to give doubts to the director, inserting unnecessary and already well-known phrases to the right and to the left.

The woman next to her let out a chuckle.

“What are you surprised about?” the pointed-eared blonde said quickly, then added, “With the appearance of Kerrow, we are all very excited. But I hope it doesn't cross the line! You have no reason to be excited!

Omederro looked at them and only nodded, as if telling them to continue, while he himself was thinking about something completely different. "My me ! What to do with him, so as not to chat too much?

-..they can't stand me! And consider it strange, I heard! They seek the light and stare in bewilderment at my appearance! And once ... - he hesitated - today, one, blonde, saw in me ... Sanguinara! (author's note. Bloodthirsty vampire). I could be wrong, but I think I saw it. Sarro was silent about how it really was. How he stood, leaning on the table and excitedly absorbed spiritually and physically his elixir. And the girl hid, stood and peeped! “Oh, people-people! Your excessive curiosity is to blame for everything! ”- he thought, imagining what happened next, as if turning around, he saw these curious eyes and closed the door with a bang. “She saw everything perfectly! And I've probably already told all my friends! And she is Clio's friend! Yes, of course, I want everything to go according to plan, but I must admit that I myself am not much afraid! ...

There was silence after these words.

“Nothing to drink in public places!” exclaimed a blond man with raised eyebrows. How meaningful was his phrase! She personified both the people and those who Sarro was. The meaning is one.

At the same time, the hubbub reigned. “This type is simply impossible! I hate him!” he thought as he took a couple of steps away from the Vampire.

- Hush! - shouted Omederro and added, - Continue ...

-..she saw me heading into the forest...

- ... and met me there! added the blonde.

“…they have been shunning me ever since!”

- It is necessary to take measures! - the director said calmly, he already knew that nothing threatened his stay in the office. He had something no one knew about. Someone who possessed supernatural strength and power. Whatever happens to the teacher pawns, He will help to defeat everything!

-Moon! - He pointed his finger in the direction of the blue-haired, - Your plan , to put it mildly, is stupid and useless!

But I thought it was Kayla!...

- I'm not interested in what you thought, you must obey me and this is an order! You must leave her! Kerrow is much more dangerous than she imagines! If she realizes who you are, you won't be able to follow her like you used to! None of you, - the red-haired villain looked around those present, - I repeat , none of you can imagine how dangerous this girl is! She is a dozen times stronger than all of us! - I heard a whisper, - No, Lo, I'm not kidding ! “I wish they were jokes… Only he and I know the truth! Or rather, just me !”

Stop! - The black-haired man exclaimed, - After all, it was the decision of all of us ! Someone must be with Kerrow ! - Sarro specifically called her that, so that Omederro could see his "hatred" for her.

When he said it was possible, now - no, - Omederro blurted out, - Then Kerrow was a schoolgirl, and she was on an equal footing with the Moon, now she is from the future, and your daughter is no match for her! Omederro's fear took precedence over selfishness. It wasn't fear for the girl, it was fear of his own defeat.

-...these kids got me! They don't even want to write essays! They don't want to study at all! How they have changed now... How far they have become from art and culture!...

“And you might think I don’t know you, Sar-r-ro?” a yellow-eyed woman said in a gentle voice, her habits resembling a cat, “You have only one blood on your mind!”

The man opened his mouth in surprise. "Where did you get it?!" The Vampire shuddered.

"Don't you dare give yourself away !" shouted Omederro.

-She had a plan! - began to protect the Sanguinary Moon.

-Yes, these spiders were supposed to find Kerrow, bite and make it impossible to resist us! But they…they!…” the girl screamed.

Sarro covered her with his cloak.

"We must be ready for anything," he whispered to his daughter.

- What an abomination! - snorted the upturned-browed one and retreated a couple of steps, letting the wind develop the hem of his yellow-black cloak.

“What the hell is the plan, sir?” shouted the man with the owl on his shoulder, who had been silent until now.

- We need something more powerful!

- Well, well, - the catwoman laughed, - Do not water everything with blood here! - and she stepped closer to Sarro, - And you say another word, I'll seal your mouth! she grinned.

- I hate ... - hissed through clenched fangs.

-Here!

The man in the raincoat grimaced.

- Just look! - the woman waved her hands , - Vampire of pure water !

Sarro bared his teeth, immediately showing white and long fangs.

-I hope you don't do this in class? she sneered.

- It's dumb like a fish, - it seemed that at that moment he was ready to kill her. What was stopping him? Public? Ten pairs of eyes drilling into his back? Hard to say…

- You still fight! - Sonny laughed sarcastically, waving her black and scarlet leather wings. They rustled, fluttering in the rays of the midday sun, pouring through the reddish translucent fabric of the curtains.

-Stop! - the director exclaimed and looked at the noise, - Sonny, Sarro and Elaida! Urgent action needed! Only together can we defeat Kerrow! But first of all, - he approached Sarro, pointing his finger at the latter's chest, - you will stop showing your vampirism in public! Otherwise , I will personally take care of you , - the last words sounded so cold that it was hard to believe that such notes could be created by a living creature.

Sarro recoiled a few paces. Anger seethed in him like erupting lava, and spread through the air with a heavy, tense, ringing silence and a crazy gleam in his reddened eyes. "But that's what I want! I need it!”

-Edmond, - the speaker turned, - Stop pouring out your anger so violently at every opportunity!

- It 's a full moon now ! - Sonny whispered with a smirk, - Don't be surprised.

"That's no reason, sir!" exclaimed the man with the owl.

- This is not a reason for all of you   ! - Omederro agreed with the biologist, - You must behave like people, because in their eyes you must be people ! Tsyin, - Omederro made a sharp turn to the teacher, - what are these bloodthirsty flowers? Went to Emeda Esai again?! Yes, the children will follow you! If you haven't already gone...

Elaida! - he turned to the ironic owner of yellow eyes, - You should be calmer, or will you all be given characteristics?

    The physicist laughed softly.

“I can imagine…” thought Elaida, laughing, squinting in the direction of Sarro, “This leaf will be covered with blood, and they will run after it like a dog, just to inhale this vile aroma again! Ha ha!"

-Only you, Lo Arine, behave with dignity!

-But my height! - the old man could not stand it, - He betrays me himself! Bastards will understand everything!

“So you’re already old, and therefore you should be like that!” Sonny exclaimed ironically.

Omederro thought about it. “Yes, that's a problem. In general, I hope you understand me ... - he looked at Sarro and Elaida, - Oh, yes, I almost forgot! You, - he turned to Sonny, - It doesn't matter who you really are, we are ALL not people here, but we must come to terms with it. If you have willpower, you, and not only you, - his eyes again darted towards the vampire, Omederro treated him most contemptuously of all, - you must make every effort to seem normal to them ... a person, - From this word he even shuddered So great was his anger.

Luo Arine started to say something, but the director didn't listen to anyone else.

“Leave me alone!” he shouted, blushing, “you already have a headache!”

“We’ll meet in the evening,” Sarro muttered in the blue-haired girl’s ear, ruffling her hair a little, “I won’t be able to before, don’t worry.” And don't listen to anyone, go to Clio, she's still weak and won't be able to do anything to you, but if this happens, know that I'll protect you!...

-…you all! Away with your tenderness! the director shouted.

- Away with me too? - a quiet, previously silent voice was heard, - If I am invisible, this does not mean that I am not here ...

   They were left alone.

Omederro turned around. He did not want to confess, but in truth, he forgot about him. And no wonder. From Nikollo, only a ghost remained for a long time. And if before, the director himself had a hand in his death, now he realized that he was obliged to resurrect him with the same hand .

Nicollo! - He said a little quieter, - Now I need you alive ! - Omederro exclaimed, - Know that I gave you life for good reason! You must know this! But if you betray me, you will perish forever!

“How will it look in the eyes of the students?” the historian caught on, changing in appearance.

-No way! In time they will forget! All…

-But how?..

- Now the main thing is to cloud their minds with doubts, otherwise they will have to introduce a plan - B - Sandra ... “I'll leave mine for later. In case things get bad. In the meantime, we need to think about what to do with Sarro ... - moments of their meeting revived before his eyes - a black-haired guy and a fiery girl. Black and white. Water and fire. Vampire and She. Sarro and Sandra - He hates her, doesn't he?...Ha-ha-ha!"

Unfortunately, the Alphahessian did not hear this and could not read the Headmaster's thoughts. Maybe luckily? Given his state of mind - the second.

- He only knows how to give orders ... - the teacher whispered angrily into the Alfirinka's ear, when she was already descending the stairs, - As far as I remember Omederro, he only knows how to speak eloquently and nothing more!

   She nodded, adding more signatures.

***

- Friends! - Sarro exclaimed, - Are we replaying our roles? What if Omederro somehow finds out we're in cahoots?...

-I don't think so, - Elrond immediately replied, - For from what? - he fell silent. From behind the corridor, the figure of a man, blurred in a slight smile, was heading towards them.

- Nikollo? - the two froze, - How ...

“Now it’s much better!” He looked at the “new” hands, “Omederro has no idea HOW he made us happy!

-Therefore, we go to meetings, say the opposite of our thoughts and look for ways to the girl! - Sarro concluded, rubbing his hands, - Fate will be at our feet!

-Hey! Don't be proud, vamp, first overthrow Omederro!

- It's true ... - sighed dreaming.

***

After the incident with the spiders, there was no doubt that there would be no more lessons for today . But the director said - so be it. An order is a dangerous business, it is better not to joke with it ...

- Qing, take care of her!

- I'm listening!

    Physical training.

Sonny Clyrend was angry at Omederro, at everyone, and vented her anger at the students, deciding to kill them with a very long cross. She made them run non-stop, sweating, panting and angry. And those who dared to disobey her, a fate awaited, alas, not the best ...

Looking at what was happening, Len angrily whispered:

- Damn Clyrend! What she wants from us is beyond human power. Who does she think we are? Who is she ? Certainly not human!

-Where are Clio and Becca? - Suddenly, looking around, Anfissa asked, - They are nowhere to be found!

Everyone, imperceptibly from Clyrend, began to look around, looking for friends among the running crowd. But in vain...

“They probably stayed in the castle,” Vega suggested, and she was right…

- Can she speak without irony? - whispered Sondra, - I'm in shock!

... as soon as a white light flashed at the end of the tunnel, we saw a staircase in its distance. Along the edge of the corridor, some small pink lights were still sparkling, curling around us in flocks of fiery butterflies, they soon left us imperceptibly. Who they were, we had yet to find out.

We have entered the first step. The light was blinding. Out of the corner of my eye, I could barely make out Becca, covering her eyes with her hand. Slowly moving our feet, we walked forward. With each step, the light dimmed, it became darker, the stinging in the eyes ceased.

"Where are we?" Becca finally whispered as the light overhead was almost gone.

-Probably in the basement. But I'm not sure because I've never been here before.

The dead silence, thoroughly saturated with the smell of musty, dusty and rotten air, was cut like a knife by our intermittent noisy breathing. Feet stepped unsteadily, the steps creaked and slid. We didn't see anything other than them. The place, as before, remained hidden by an unknown veil, depriving us of the possibility of penetrating into the essence of this world.

Suddenly, there was a vague sound, painfully reminiscent of a dog's growl. We quieted down. Even, to tell the truth, they stopped breathing, and from a sudden stop, they almost collided and fell beyond the boundaries of the unknown. Time is frozen. Tension bound us with an icy grip, piercing to the very madly trembling heart. For a moment it even seemed that the body ceased to obey, it froze with raised hands pointing in the direction of the sound. Only now have we realized how far we have come!... The light was fluttering like a barely perceptible spark in the intergalactic distance from us.

Whether we wanted it or not, time passed, and no one asked us, and with it, something approached us, from the very sight of which even the most icy blood would freeze. His hunchbacked silhouette loomed in the mist distorted by a hundred shadows. Hanging ears, small deep-seated black eyes, huge blunt animal teeth, somewhat reminiscent of a pig's, clawed eagle's paws and dirty hair, knocked down, tangled, in places peeled, hanging in lumps over pinkish rough skin. Another moment - and we saw another! Another monster was approaching from the other side! And behind him… They surrounded us and were everywhere!

-Let's run!...

Becca screamed and recoiled, rushing up the stairs. But the steps melted faster than snowflakes dying under the rays of destructive heat.

One by one the steps disappeared, disappeared from under our feet and our gaze, and even those where our feet had just stepped disappeared, dissolved into darkness. The hands of the mysterious creatures were getting closer! It seemed like another moment and they were about to get Becca! From fear and horror, she ran, not making out the road ahead of her, and eventually stumbled. Her legs lost their footing and she flew down. I screamed, she grabbed my hand with all her strength, and the step under me was already melting.

“Let's run!” she shouted, climbing up, “we jump over two steps!” Faster!...

The old window with light was gone. It was replaced by a door, black and cracked in places with peeling paint. The monsters were catching up, we jumped, blood splattered ...

   The edge was behind.

We were back in the hallway. No stairs. No monsters. Nobody. It's like everything that happened is a dream!

- What was it? - whispered a frightened friend, - Where were we? I don’t understand anything ... - crystal drops of tears trembled in the corners of her eyes, - It could kill us! ...

“Before, everything was fine, quiet, good, but now! Something is definitely happening! I can't imagine what. It scares me!...Where are we? Is this school really a trap?...” - the girl thought feverishly, pain cramped through her arm, a touch with thin fingers - a palm full of blood.

There was a groan at the sight of the shallow cut, and Becca shuddered involuntarily.

- I'll take you to the infirmary!

- What are we going to say?

Everything but the truth. Otherwise, they won't believe us!

Surprisingly, the same teachers worked in the infirmary, library and dining room: in particular, the Alfirian Emby Vy Blade and the Alpha Hessian, this Goth, Sarro la Cass, who was something like a secretary and registered all "accidents".

***

Wounded! - proudly declared Tsyyin.

Kerrow?

- Another one! - shouted Embi, - I personally did the bandaging of Bekka!

-What? Alive?! – roared Omederro, - Where did you look?! Couldn't catch up? Ha! You won't be able to carry your feet soon! We didn’t have time….grrr….Just imagine what she thought!!!… “How stupid everything is! To no avail! It's pointless! Will she visit me in the tower tomorrow? No, don't be like this! All hope for Sandra ... "

After seeing Becca, I went to my room. The moon sat there as if nothing had happened.

-Where have you been? I said sternly, looking at the blue-haired woman. She turned her head away from the book.

“Here,” she said in an innocent voice.

I took a casual look and gasped - it was the same book that Karme and I had found in the library.

-Where did you get that?!...

The face of the reader turned pale, contorted with a tremor of excitement. She tossed the book aside, abruptly pulling out her phone and headphones. For a moment I was at a loss, not understanding her act at all. If she was just interested - that's one thing, but if ... I went closer to her, picked up the book and sat down next to her. Whatever the circumstances, I always tried to approach them reasonably. But as for the book, to my shame, I personally have not read it yet.

“What did you read about?” I asked quietly and calmly.

But she was silent, huddling into a ball and wrapping her arms around herself.

"Tell me," she smiled, touching her palm. To my surprise, it was, without exaggeration, cold as ice!

Luna jerked her hand away and, flashing her blue eyes, whispered: “Nothing!” - on that I had to leave it, although it was interesting to know the truth! I wanted to take the book and read it right now, but the incident made my head hurt too much, I climbed onto the top bunk of the bed - the moon was on the bottom - lay down, quietly glancing in the direction of my mysterious friend.

During all this time, Luna did not utter a word and, sitting like a tortured rabbit, did not take her eyes off the phone until evening. “What was she thinking? What thoughts did you keep from me? I was also very curious if she would sit like that all night or?” Turning off the light, I began to watch her through a small crack, a gap between our beds.

For a while, she really sat, listening to music, and not moving. She was probably also watching me, and therefore she realized it only when, in her opinion, I was already asleep. But it wasn't. I just didn't give up.

Tossing her head in a wave and waving her hair, she threw away the phone and began to whisper something, as if humming a quiet melody under her breath. I quieted down. I felt terrified, the air seemed to be saturated with electricity. "I wonder what will happen next?..."

Luna took a small sheet of paper and began to feverishly write something, smiling and sparkling with her small, instantly reddened eyes, she stood up and, stroking the window with the curtains fluttering in a light breeze, glancing at Selena, gradually starting to reach out for her with her hand, instantly disappeared in the air!

-Oh! - I cried out in surprise, - This cannot be! - and from a sudden movement I almost fell from the top shelf. Out of the corner of my eye, noticing that the clock was 11. This must be told to Sasha, no, to everyone! And exhausted from such events, I, already tormented by drowsiness, fell into a dream ...

The face of the full moon illuminated the school. The sharp turrets with spiers grew longer, their monstrous shadows receding into the distance like black snakes. Not far from the forest, a shadow flashed, a black dot that instantly dissolved in the moonlight ...

In parallel with this, a few hours earlier, in another part of the castle…

Len just walked down the hallway. He returned to his room. What he did at that time, he did not know himself. The boy just wanted something unusual. Proud that it was he who infected me with his "idea", he was hungry for evidence and, in fact, he did not care what.

He believed in magic and loved it. He knew that everything was under her control, but why - he himself did not know. One thing tormented the boy: a strange fog in his head that had appeared since the time he arrived at school. “Am I local? Yes. Why can't I remember the school I went to before? It's good that Karme didn't interrogate me! Otherwise, I would have to fall into the ground!”

It was getting dark quickly, even very, abruptly and unexpectedly, in a word, as it always happens when something happens. Lan had to grope his way forward. It was about poor eyesight, which he "planted" day by day, playing computer games. And the corridor was not small ...

Mirrors hung everywhere - this is good, because at least you can see yourself in the darkness. “Although, from that strange foreboding does not leave me,” he went to one of the mirrors and began to stare at himself, “This hair, nose, blue eyes ... Why does my appearance remind me of someone terribly? I don’t understand… I guess I need to play less games…” he thought.

There was movement in the distance.

A gray shadow rushing through the darkness. The boy stopped, froze, not so much from fear as from joy. How he wanted to see the unknown with his own eyes! However, he was not ready for such a quick appearance.

“What the hell is going on here?!” he whispered under his breath, breathing loudly and straining his eyes with all his might, trying to look out for something among the unsteady darkness that enveloped everything. His heart beat wildly in anticipation of that very surprise. Len took another step and - bang! Cold metal touched his shoulder. The iron armor that stood in the hall swayed and fell down. The groan was replaced by a quiet ringing of a glove flying off into the distance.

How pitiful was the knight who once towered over his disciples! The clang stopped ringing in his ears. The boy got up and, backing away, ran back. How he wished no one could see him at this moment! “But the armor itself fell, I’ll say!” - spun on his tongue.

And suddenly, quite close, as it seemed, a black shadow flew by, then footsteps were heard. Lan was terrified. He had to think! “But wait, where is that someone? It was he who knocked over the armor!” And after a couple of minutes, a voice was heard in the distance:

-Don `t move!

Leng spun around and saw a surprised, no less frightened Lay!

The fair-haired bully who was jokingly (or seriously) said to be in love with Sondra, or was she in love with him? The redhead didn't know much more about him. Bye.

He yelled and turned on the flashlight, pointing it straight at Lan's face.

- So you flipped the armor?! Why are you walking here? - the redhead was surprised.

The blond shook his head. In the light of the lantern, his hair looked completely white, and his face was deathly pale, like that of an Alphahessian.

- What are you doing here? - repeated Len.

-I wanted to ask you the same thing. I heard a noise and opened the door to look, and then! ...

-I was just waiting for something, but then I saw a shadow...

- I saw her too.

-I thought it was you...

-And I thought...

-Wait! You stood here and didn't move?

-Yes.

- But this someone was close! He turned them over!

-I thought you were.

-No! What you? - Lan pointed to the iron glove, - And what was your shadow? - He asked when the boys came to the very doors.

-Like a ghost... What else could she be? - Lei was surprised at the stupid question, - Well, he looked a bit like a teacher.

Leng remembered that the running silhouette didn't have a cloak, but most of the teachers did. Is it a coincidence? Or was there someone else?

- Whoever it was, he passed here, not by chance ... Oh, how I want to know the truth! - he whispered, raising his eyes to the stars, looking out and beckoning from the window.

Not far from the dilapidated gazebo, in front of the school, on the outskirts of the Emadee Esai forest, there were two creatures. They arrived here with one thought and one eye looked at the shining moon.

“...Light of the Moon help me, please, and make dreams come true. Show and light my long way, tell me this night, do not forget ... "

“Hello, Lou!” said Sarro. His long dark hair fluttered in the light breeze. In the eyes, bloodshot, the face of the luminary was reflected, - What can you tell me? – asked so, again playing. The daughter listened to her mother very much, and obeyed the director - that's why he could not re-educate her - she will tell.

He was a little over forty, and outwardly - 25, she - 16, also outwardly, in fact, she was older - such is the essence of the vampire. The girl helped him in all the difficult issues in which Sarro doubted his actions. He looked at her blue hair and every time he remembered his homeland - this, to some extent, added to his strength.

- Alas, no joy, Clio is smart and very insidious! She keeps a diary about you, I saw it. The rest also have diaries. She saw you among the books when you were looking for spells; It seemed to Anfissa in an instant that you were drinking something in the office; Kerrow looked intently and saw how I looked at Selena ...

The dark haired man shook his head.

Are you talking about a diary? About me ... - he asked with curiosity - And what is written there?

Lou took out a leaf. Her eyes sparkled with scarlet ruby lights, in which fear and helplessness were read.

“Here it is,” Lou blurted out briefly and handed over the sheet, “Alas, what others write, I don’t know ...

- "Red eyes, black hair, white cold skin, a strange look ..." - the dark-haired one fluently read the note, - Everything is clear. But is having this, she can argue about something more? And also, when she touched me? - he was surprised.

-To me...

Sarro la Casse deepened his reading.

"... sharp, self-willed, does not tolerate other people's opinions ..." - The Vampire grinned.

It was small in pencil: "Blood" and a question mark. The black haired man chuckled. “Smart you, Clio! - Depicting excitement on her face, - The blonde did tell! - rejoiced.

That's not all! Lu exclaimed with burning eyes, and snatched the sheet from his hands and turned it over. In crooked letters, probably in a hurry, only one word was displayed, next to which there were three question marks: “ Vampire ”.

-It's a copy. I did not tear out its sheet and copied it as close as possible to the original ...

- This can not be! - Vampire shouted, over the years he had learned to portray emotions so skillfully that he was ready to be seriously frightened by the discovery of his daughter, - It was decided - we will fly to Omederro! Immediately!...

***

Tip for beginners: do not walk around the castle at night - this can turn into a big danger. Every now and then the wolf howl of a chemist was heard, languishing from the full moon. There were bats flying over the upper floors. Strange sounds were heard endlessly. Sometimes, right before our eyes, new walls closed and grew. The Moon sparkled ominously in the mirrors, it shone in every small fragment, it covered the empty offices with blue. Mice, rats ran past, shadows and even ghosts flew by ...

They took off, silently and lightly, like birds flying up in an instant, two black dots. They hovered in front of a giant window and in an instant the glass dissolved. Omederro looked up from the table as Kyle crawled across the paper for the hundredth time. Today he was angry and, at first, did not even want to talk.

“It's you!” Omederro exclaimed, tearing his eyes away from his pet, and raised his eyebrows.

      Sarro nodded.

-Things are getting serious!

Luna stepped closer and handed the director a sheet.

“Sarro la Cass…” he read the inscription .

What does that mean ?!

Sarro was silent and only, pursing his lips, pushed Lou forward. He did not want to speak first, he was afraid that he would not be able to convey everything as it should. “Why are we even here now? If Luna tells her mother about the diary, she will drag me here herself! And I? If I disobey, Omederro will be punished. Do not ruin such a flimsy brilliant plan ... "

They all keep diaries! And Clio looks at me somehow strangely ...

- That's it, then you too? - Sarro caught on, - It was Kerrow's idea, - he said more affirmatively than interrogatively, - For whom?

“Ambi…” Lou whispered, “I agreed to it just like that. I must be aware of her thoughts! Yes, and seem at the same time with Clio.

-Yes…

-Oh you! Why did you choose your mother and not me? Clio got it!.. – sparks of reproach flashed in Vampire's eyes. “Just think – an accident! No I do not believe!"

- Stop! - exclaimed Omederro, - Not so fast! Whom Lou chose doesn't matter, but being the first one to give yourself away is serious! Passed in the eyes of Kerrow , you know who ! I have every right to expel you from school! “Tomorrow I’ll come up with any reason, just to get rid of it! Guilty - disappear! You will no longer catch her eye, and then, perhaps, she will forget! ”The director thought.

“But...” the accused whispered in horror, becoming even paler than before. “After all, then! ...”

- Don't touch him! - Lou suddenly shouted, blocking Sarro, - He is my father! Otherwise, I will take revenge on you!

    The director was taken aback.

“What does she allow herself?! - he thought, looking at the blue-haired one, - Malyavka, but how much he builds out of himself!

- If he is guilty of something, I will take this blame on myself!

"Oh Luna! This is too much…"

“I knew it!” Omederro continued to think, “What is from him, what is zero use from her! Kerrow will catch himself and see the torn leaf. What is the logic here?

Due to his inattention, the director did not even realize that he had a copy in front of him.

There was a faint smirk on his face.

-.. give Sarro one last chance ! - the girl begged with tears, - I beg you! We will do anything, just have mercy!

The headmaster looked at her with stony eyes. He liked this feeling of authority, it added faith in himself.

"Lou," she froze.

-Agree. But only one last chance! Otherwise, I’ll personally kill you! - Omederro added quietly, - I always dreamed of killing a person, - before his eyes again, as on that day, their terrible faces flashed, on that day when he hated their whole family and became different. How he wanted to kill even one of them! But something seemed to be holding him, whether it was fear or something else, some unknown force, - But, for starters, - blurted out Omederro, - A vampire will do! …

Yes, he wanted to kill. But who more than the most useless and self-willed. Who it? Sarro was perfect for the role.

Sarro swallowed and, turning to the broken window, went towards it with the gaze of a genuine suicide.

- Stop! - the director shouted, apparently frightened, - So be it, I'll give you a chance! “What is he to him? To do something again tomorrow? Let him start feeding them all! Croweman... well, what do I want with a vampire? He can’t finish the school year normally! ”- he thought, “But it’s better to disappear from my eyes! Now he did not want to talk to anyone at all, - Leave me alone! ...

Sarro nodded and stepped straight out the window. And in the next moment, two black dots flew out of the tower ...

-Moon! Fly home! Don't expect me soon...

"Sarro! And yet you are too self-confident! ... "
