Chapter 4: Hunting expedition

On a plain open vast land, up to one hundred and eighty students were lined up in a distinct manner, they were donned in their full combat gear, and they were all armed with weapons that shouldn't be seen with someone of their age.

The students were lined in a coordinated manner, they were not older than age of nine and they were not younger than the age of seven. The students all wore a solemn expression as the hyped themselves up for the beasts hunting expedition they were about to embark on.

Five master mages from Brion mages academy came to the front of the students and they began to draw circles on the floor, a very large circle of 60 inches radius was first drawn on the plain ground, which was followed by the drawing of smaller circles in the big circle.

After that has been done, triangles were drawn in the circles which was followed up by the illustrations of some infernal symbols drew on the diagram on the floor. The five mages sighed after they've completed the diagram, though the drawing might look simple and easy, but the process of drawing a teleportation circle is a tiring process due to it's vast supply of mana needed by the teleportation circle.

It has been up to two hours since the students has been under the Scorching hot sun, and the teleportation circle has been formed, after some minutes, one of the master mages squats down before the circle, and he began placing crystals into the smaller circles, after he was done, the circle lit up has the teleportation medium was activated.

"It's done." He yelled and five Swordmasters ran over, just a step before they stepped into the teleportation circle, they all brought out their swords, brandishing it firmly, they all step into the circle at once and vanished with no trace.

"It's safe, only two king tier beast were detected and they've been dealt with." One of the five Swordmasters who had just enter the teleportation circle came back to give them feedback on the situation of wherever the teleportation circle took them to.

"It's time we get moving, guys mobilize your selves and make sure you form a group of three before you get in there."

The students without wasting much time scattered the line looking for partners to form a group with while those who has friend in either the mage academy or the knight academy didn't waste any time to team up with each other.

"Here are some rules you guys are to follow, and if violated, you may never ever get the chance to either to be able to study at the empire academy, and you all know what that means, if the Alathia empire armies should break through the Zeus empire defence system you won't have any skills to resist been killed."

"Never snatch anyone's kill if the beasts is already in a dire situation unless the person is in danger,"

"No stealing of others crystals,"

"No fighting against each other on the hunting ground."

"Is that understood," one of the master mages who had given out the instructions and also listed the rules to be followed yelled.

"Yes sir." The students chorus and stomped their foot in unison.

"Now, you all, should move into the teleportation circle in three's." He said.

The students began to trudge into the teleportation circle in three's and they vanished within seconds they step into the circle, after all the students has been teleported, the master's also follow suit.

. . . . . . . .

 Location: Blood clot forest.

Gnarled roots dipped into and out of the ground and twisted branches reached down, fingers grasping the thin air.

The trees were ancient, timeless as they disappeared into the sky, rough with age, yet their roughness had been worn down by the soft greenness of moss that had slowly made them home.

Some trees were wreathed in ivy, ever frozen in its embrace, whilst others were still bare; young shoots that hadn’t enough time to have claimed companions.

The ground was wet from the late spring rainfall, the ground was dark and damp. The curled brown leaves were half-embedded in it, trampled by the occasional walking beasts, and the small prints of rodents and birds were crisply remembered by its form.

The raw, earthy scent of wet mud, the crisp smell of dewy foliage, the sweet scent of forest flowers, be-speckling the ground in bells of white and sprigs of lavender, were all what seems to be in the forest, but it is a domain a casual person would never dare to wander in, yet kids who seems to be around the age of seven to eight years were seen appearing at a specified location in the forest.

. . . . . . .

"Do you copy that," Harry inquired from Drake with a very stern gaze and an unparalleled bloodlust.

" Yeah, though the drawing is quite complicated, I was able to copy it." Drake replied with an exciting tone as he brought out a paper which he had drawn exact copy image of the teleportation circle drawn by the mages.

"It's going to be an exhilarating battle" Drake thought to himself as they both awaits the instructions of their masters before venturing into the forest.

"What's the plan,"Harry inquired from Drake.

"It's simple though, we look for a means to distract our master, then we use Iris as a bait to lure Han and his group into our trap," Drake replied nonchalantly as he surveys his surroundings.

"Do you copy that." He pestered Harry to make sure he heard what he said.

 "Yeah," he stammering a bit.

"No need to stammer, your sister is gonna be fine." Drake said.

"Promise?" Harry asked in an inquiring tone.

"Promise." Drake retorted in an affirmative tone.

. . .

After all the students has been teleported, the masters also teleported themselves, upon making appearances on the hunting ground, they vanished into the thin air immediately.

"We're not gone, we're amongst you all, watching your actions, so never try to prove smart, else, you would regret your actions." An hoarse voice resonated through the forest immediately the masters vanished startling the students.

"There's no chance of cheating this time around, if the masters are using this technique." Han scowled amongst his group of four instead of three, as they were been told by the masters.

"An invisible barrier encompasses you all, no one should pls try to breakthrough it, else, he or she wants to be chomped down by high tier beasts,"

"Let the expedition start now," The voice said as all the students charge straight into the hunting domain provided for them, while only a few choose different route

"They pesky masters think they're smart, turning into an invisible fog, they thinks that they can hinder chaos to prevail. Drake thought with a broad smile on his face as he stride alongside Harry and his sister forming a formidable team.

. . .

"This area shall know unrest." Drake yelled as he brandished his two glowing daggers aiming for the invisible barrier that encompasses them all.

Drake threw one of his daggers at the invisible barrier, which caused a ripple on its surface, he threw the second second daggers ate the forcefield which distorted a part of it, fit for a human to pass through..

Iris was hurled deeper into the forest by Drake out of the hunting zone protected by the barrier into a dangerous part of the forest. Drake ran out of the hunting zone through the distorted space that was caused by his daggers on the barrier.

He ran and cling himself to a very tall tree, climbing up to one of its sturdy branch and also keeping a keen vision on his surroundings, Harry on the other hand stood so close to the distorted barrier staring into the distance as if he was waiting for someone.
