Chapter 6: Beast horde

The atmosphere has become tense, students were chasing after their prey(Beast), while some were busy retrieving crystals from the dead Beast the had managed to kill.

A particular group of four who seems to be walking around aimlessly fixed there gaze on a hunting hound, after some minutes of murmuring, the four of them separated deeper into the forest so they can catch their target without alerting it.

"Let's plan a sneak attack on the beast that seems to be munching some yummies over there." A boy among the group of four said with an imperious tone as he point his little index finger at the beast that was quite a few meters away from them.

"Ahooow." The beast seems to be enraged by the little four punny that were staring at him from afar, he let out a very furious roar before he sprang up into the air aiming for the four students.

"We're never taught that low tier beasts are this sensitive." A boy among the four said as he held onto his sword tightly which has a dim red flicker around it.

"Your Qi slash doesn't stand a chance against it, let run and..." The boy who initially suggested they plan a sneak attack on the beast couldn't even complete his sentence before they were sent flying in the air.

 It was a relatively shocking experience for the students, they never expected the to this fast, and was able to land in their midst when they were still trying to make a decision. They were sent flying by the impact after the beast land in their midst but they were also lucky enough to land in an area that was dominated by a lake. They hurriedly swam out of the lake afraid that the beast would lunge at them while they were immersed in the water, to their ultimate suprise they were shocked to see the beast that was supposed to chase after them impaled and dead.

They all utter a sigh of relief as the crwal out of the lake, but they were shocked due to the numerous dead beasts that surrounded the lake.

"We're dead for sure if truly that beast is an advanced tier beast." One of the boy shudder in fear as he spoke.

"The beast we encounter just now is a basic tier level beast at its peak, luckily enough for us, it has not yet evolve, else, we would be dead by now."

"So that explains why it's incredibly fast and sensitive."

"Yeah, and again who can explain where that earth spike that impale the beast from,"

"It's not an earth spike but a spear."

"But we're not allowed to use such high class weapon considering our age, how does it reach there."

"My only guess is that, it was left behind by hunters, a guild or a faction team on a mission."

The students were among themselves after they luckily escape from the jaws of death, they were utterly terrified when the beast landed in their middle with its shocking speed, but they were now able to rest by the lake side to catch their breath as they've been busy hunting down beast non stop.

One of the students looked at his surroundings, he glanced at the dead beasts that surrounded the lake, he gulped in fear before he could inquire for any explanation from his team mates.

"By the way, how did all this beasts ended dead here." The boy asked his team mates as he shuddered in fear.

"They all killed by that wolf beasts that almost killed us not long ago, we're quite lucky that the wolf beast has not retrieve their crystals." One of the boy answered him.

"So, you mean it's a win-win situation for us?."

"Yes, let's get to work"

The students split themselves into two groups since they were four, two of them headed straight for the dead wolf beast that was impaled by Spear that been stuck in the ground for quite a long time, the students could only assume it was left there by some hunters who once came to the forest to hunt some beasts. The other two students stayed by the lake, they were retrieving the crystals of the dead beasts that were killed by the wolf beast.

 "We've gain quite some fortune right?"

 "Han, if I should guess, our group would be the one to clinch the first place even though we've break so many rules in this expedition." A tanned skin male student said as he kept mutilating one of the beast to retrieve a crystal from it.

"What's wrong?" The boy said once again expecting a reply from Han, but to his ultimate despair, he didn't receive a single word back from him, he raised his head up to glance at his surroundings just to be sure Han is with him, but he was shocked, Han was nowhere to be found.

 Initially, the group of four students actually wanted to stay by the lakeside to retrieve the crystals of all the dead beasts before they head for the wolf beast, but they ended up splitting into two groups, the tanned skin boy and Han were at the lake side while the other two were dealing with the dead wolf beast.

The boy was startled when he couldn't see Han anywhere near him, his first thought was that a powerful beast IS around the corner, and it was responsible for the missing Han. The boy dropped his short dagger on the floor before bringing out his long sword, he raised it in the air while his senses were fully at alert, ready slash any Intruder that come nearby into half, he held onto the sword tightly as he walked backwards in fear.

 "Swooossh." The rustling sounds of fallen leaves made him lose his calmness, the heavy thud of fast footsteps made him tremble in fear, his hand that held his sword upright was shaking vigorously, "Am dead." He thought, yet he could sense that the footsteps aren't coming closer to him, but farther away from him.

He turned his head to where the footsteps sounds was coming from, but to his utmost suprise, it was Han that was running towards the barrier that was set up by their teacherss to protect them against high level beasts.

"Han, what's wrong with you." The boy yelled with his veins bulging out, but Han was already quite a great distance from him, so he couldn't hear him shout.

"Noooo, don't do it." Well it was already quite late, Han has already find a gap between the barrier, moving out of the vincible domain section, heading straight towards an unconscious girl that was almost devoured by a monster, thus the tan boy was unable to stop him from advancing further despite his loud voice.

"Hey guys, Han is already out of the vincible domain section." The tanned skin boy turn around and said to the other two guys that were busy mutilating the dead wolf beast.

 "What." The duo shrieked in fear as they were dumbfounded about what to do.

 "He has fallen for the trap." Harry said to Drake as he wore an evil malicious grin on his face, he stare at Han who was fighting bravely to protect his sister that was about to be eaten by a beasts.

"He would never go scot-free today," Drake who was also standing beside Harry deep in the forest commented.

"Go for him, I would trigger the beast horde calamity." Drake said with a evil grin on his face before he disappear into the woods.

 Amidst the densely packed trees, Drake who was now out of the vincible domain section; which is protected by their masters from the invasion of higher level beasts, Drake was roaming cautiously in the forest in other not to bump into a high level beasts which would claim his live.

After walking tirelessly, he came out of the area that was densely packed with trees to an area that has less trees. A clear bright crystal was tossed up in the air by Drake, the energy ripple of the crystal spread across the forest at a insanely fast rate, beasts that inhabits the area were agitated not because of the energy ripple from the crystal as it was more soothing for them, but because a mere puny little human dare to infiltrate into their without being noticed, and even held onto their super precious snack.

 Growls Of hunger, greed, frustration,and anger rise from within, encapsulated by murderous aura, Drake retrieve the crystal that he tossed in the air, he sprinted at a very fast pace since his live was at the edge, thousands of beasts were chasing after him, only a slim hope of survival was left for him, yet he was determine to outrun the numerous beasts.

There are only three types of beasts in the human world, ordinary beasts, demon beasts, and star beasts, yet they have only one way to evolve and grow stronger, which is to consume the crystal of they beast that was killed with their hands when they were involved in a brawl, or the crystal dropped by a beast that's many times stronger than them when it eventually dies, this explain the reason why all the beast that are outside the vincible domain section went berserk immediately they senses the aura of the high level crystal that Drake was holding in his hand.

Thousands of beast were chasing after a Drake in the woods, they were all preoccupied with one thought which is to devour the crystal that is in Drake hand, realising the grave danger that he's in, he tossed the crystal to his opposite direction distracting the beast since their mainly after the crystal and not him, he also took a detour altering his direction before he rest his back on a tree.

Drake rest his back on the tree with his hand on his knee, he gasped for breath as his heart beat heavily.

"That was so close he murmured." As he stare at the densely packed of beasts horde that were heading for the crystal he tossed to his opposite direction which is the vincible domain section; the hunting ground for the students, thus, putting them in danger.

"It's time for revenge, Han, you're done for." Drake chuckled maliciously as an evil grin appear on his face, giving him the appearance of a little maniac.

"All hail the lord of chaos." Drake roared viciously as he strode across the forest swiftly heading for the direction were Harry and his sister were.

 In the densely packed fog that hover above the barrier, the barrier that's protecting the students from the high level beasts, the masters that had turn into fog so that they can oversee the whole event that takes place in the vast vincible domain section were having conversations as their heart beats in fear.

 "Four students are now missing from the hunting ground," one of the teachers said.

 "They're now seven, Drake and his group are also missing." Another teacher cut's in, disrupting the mood of the conversation.

 "Those seven are from a formidable background, we we surely be held responsible if we can't bring them." His face contoured due to fear as he speaks.

 "Aren't you guys keeping your eye on the all the time, how come you didn't notice it, the moment they barge out of the vincible domain section." One of the teachers who seems superior to the others roared furiously.

 "I guess they use some sort of high level magic equipment, which makes them to be able to break out of the barrier without being noticed."

 "These kids are just making things difficult for us, we must make sure that we bring them back even if it's their corpse." The teacher that spoke has an unpleasant look on his face.

"Shit." One of them cursed.

"Do they have to move out of the vincible domain section just because they want to have more contributions than other students,"

"Do they have to go that far." One of the teachers complained.

"You two, go down there and search for them." The teacher that's superior to them all ordered two out of the teachers to head down and search for the missing students.

 In the middle of the vincible domain section, two teachers appeared out the thin air before they split up to search for the missing students.

 "Let's head straight for the barrier that's nearest to us, then we split and search for any useful clues pertaining to the missing students."

 "Ok, got it, by the way let's meet at the end of the barrier once we're done searching for the clues."

"Affirmative."

 The duo had a quick conversation between each other before they split up to search for any clues regarding the missing students.

The two teachers had regroup once again after searching round the whole vincible domain section but to no avail did they find any clues regarding the missing students.

 "I found nothing," The first teacher said with a twisted expression.

"This is shit, their family would make sure they make us pay for not looking after the children." The second teacher lamented.

"I do not find traces of any students eaten by beasts, it's obvious that they. . ." The first teacher stooped mid speech as something alarming has caught his attention.

"Did you see that." The first teacher said as he he pointed his finger at the barrier which seems to have an open space on it, big enough to fit a Human.

"What!" The second master exclaimed as he saw the space that has been tore open on the barrier.

"Am sure those kids are out there, we have to save them before they are snatched away by those high tier level beasts." The first teacher said as he made his way towards the open space on the barrier.

 "Hey stop, you can't go out there." The second teacher said in a panicked voice as he halt the first teacher in his tracks.

 "What do you mean, and why are you panicking." The first teacher said as he let his curiosity get the better of him.

 "Can't you sense the danger that's approaching us, if we don't go back to Brion town with the students using the teleportation circle, I'm sure we would be forgotten till eternity." The second teacher retorted.

 "Stop scaring the shit out of me," the first teacher said in an annoyed voice.

 "What!" The first teacher shudder in fear, as he gasped for breath.

 "It's a beast horde, we have to leave here now." The first teacher shouted as he shiver in fear.

 "Sir Geo we're under attack by a horde of beasts, they are making their way towards us " the second teacher shouted atop his lungs.

 "Sir Geo can you hear us."the first teacher also shouted.

  "Dear students, kindly make your way towards the teleportation circle, we're under attack by a horde of beasts."

 "Pls, all activities should stop now, make you way towards the teleportation circle." An audible voice rang through the whole vincible domain section.
