Caroline and the others quickly exited the house and walked up to a wall

"Here it is, do you guys feel it?"

Caroline asked them with an excited look on her face

"Feel what?"

Luck asked confused 

"The mana of course! I guess you are way too new to mana"

Caroline said, she then grabbed Luck and Destiny by their shoulder

"Prepare yourselves for what you are about to see!"

Caroline said, that made the 2 of them anxious, Caroline then entered the mana zone with them, once they all saw the mana zone they were amazed, it was a brand new world, it was a tropical jungle but the trees and plants had completely different colors, there were also standing on one of the multiple cubes that this mana zone had, gravity was also a lighter there

"Oh my god! This place is insane!"

Destiny yelled in amazement, Luck thought the same too

"Guys come quick! we have to find the mana zone's core!"

Caroline told them

"Wait! Why do we need to find the core?"

Luck asked

"To make it simple for you, if we slay the entities here we can shatter their bodies with mana and use them to get stronger by absorbing them, those entities usually appear near the core, that's why we have to find it! Plus there is a chance that we can find some hidden relics of the mana zone"

Caroline explained

'So it's basically like a spawn for mobs'

Luck thought, comparing this to a video game was the simplest way for Luck to understand it, the 3 of them then began to search around the area, and to make their job easier they utilized the low gravity of the zone, there was no sign of a mana core nearby

"Hey Caroline I will go this way, you go the other way so we can find it faster!"

Luck said as he launched himself to another cube

"Get back here you idiot!"

Caroline yelled but Luck didn't hear her

"Destiny can you do me a favor?"

"Do you want me to go after him?"

"Yea that's exactly what I want you to do, make sure to convince him to go to this cube over there"

Caroline said as she pointed at a cube far away, Caroline then launched Destiny at the cube Luck went and she then went to the cube where the 3 of them would meet

meanwhile, Luck found a strange black sphere in the sky

'That must be the core'

He thought

"Luck!!!"

Destiny screamed, Luck quickly ran in the direction of the scream, he found Destiny standing near a purple-colored tree

"Why did you leave like that? Caroline and I were very scared! don't ever do that okay?"

Destiny said, she seemed like she was shaking from fear

"I'm sorry but I didn't do that without a purpose, look up, I found the core!"

Luck told her while pointing up

"WATCH OUT!!!"

Destiny said as she created a shield, a colorful bear fell from the sky, the bear tried to attack them by falling on top of them, the bear had springs on its legs and arms, it reminded of a toy Luck had when he was little

"What the hell is that?"

Luck mumbled, the bear then attacked once again but this time Luck tried to attack too, the bear folded her hand and then launched it with an incredible speed, Luck was barely able to block the attack, even though Luck had enhanced his hands with mana but the attack was way too strong, Luck's hands made a cracking sound when he blocked the attack but thankfully they didn't break

"Are you alright Luck? I can try to heal your arms but it will be slow!"

Destiny told him, she seemed worried

"Don't worry, just try to support me!"

Luck said, Luck then rushed at the bear, he was way faster than before, the reason was that Destiny buffed him with a speed buff, Luck then kicked the bear in its stomach but it didn't flinch, the bear tried to slash Luck but he was way too fast for it, Luck kept on kicking and punching the bear but it didn't seem to take any damage

"Luck you have to fight without my speed buff because I will try to figure out the mana core of the bear!"

She said

"Mana core?"

Luck asked as he was dodging the bear's attack

"Everything has a mana core, think of it as something's heart, for example, our mana core is... our heart"

Destiny told him, her explanation was kind of obvious 

"Alright, I will keep on distracting it!"

Luck said, but it was easier said than done, the bear was keeping on launching deadly attacks with its spring arms while bunching around with its legs, a single hit without defense could end up killing Luck

"FOUND IT!"

Destiny screamed, she then with the element of celestial highlighted its core

"I will give you a strength buff! make sure you don't waste it!"

Destiny said as she buffed Luck

'Come on Luck, it's easy just punch the core'

Luck thought in order to make himself more confident, he then enhanced his legs with mana and launched himself at the bear's core, he then enhanced his hand with a lot of mana and punched the core, the punch penetrated the skin of the bear and broke its mana core, the bear had instantly died

"Let's go!!!"

Luck said as he hugged Destiny, he was very excited from his first kill, Destiny began to blush from embarrassment, the moment was shortly ruined by an unwanted company

"There is no way..."

Destiny said as she desperately looked behind Luck, when Luck turned around he saw something bad, a group of about 15 bears were standing there looking at them, the 2 of them simply stood and did nothing, they barely managed to kill one bear so killing 15 of them was impossible

"Destiny prepare to run away..."

Luck said as he began to walk towards the bears

"No way! what about you?"

Destiny told him with a shaky voice, she couldn't hold herself from shading tears

"Don't worry about me, I will make it, Just go inform Caroline..."

"I can't leave you here you are going to d.."

"I SAID RUN AWAY!!!"

Luck yelled at her, Destiny then ran as quick as she could, tears were running down her face but she had to inform Caroline fast

"There are 15 of you and only of me, I like the odds!"

Luck said as he manically stared at the bears, he then charged at the dead bear and absorbed its power

'my power didn't raise that much but it's better than nothing'

Luck thought, he then charged at a bear with all of his might but he couldn't penetrate its hard skin without Destiny's buff, Luck was distracted with one bear so he didn't see a punch that was directed at him from a bear, Luck was launched a lot of meters away because of the attack, his head had opened up, Luck was bleeding without any signs of stopping, during this time he could hear a voice calling for him

"Please get up Luck..."

It was a girl's voice but it wasn't Caroline's nor Destiny's, Luck then got up, he was feeling an overwhelming amount of mana running inside his body, his mana also had turned golden, a bear tried to punch him once again but Luck just grabbed the punch

"Weak!"

Luck said with an emotionless voice, he then pulled the bear closer and punched it at its core, the bear, he easily killed the bear and absorbed, Luck then launched himself at one of the bears, and with a single kick he killed one of the bears and stopped his course at the same time, he then absorbed then bear, the bears tried to attack Luck from different angles but it wasn't enough, Luck simply clapped and the pressure that the clap created stopped the punches, Luck then killed 2 bears with his hands absorbed and backed down

"What's wrong, you can't beat up a single boy?"

Luck said to the bears, they couldn't understand him but they knew they didn't have a chance at beating him

"Come at me losers!!!"

He yelled, but before Luck could take a step he lost his consciousness, the bears then slowly approached Luck's body but before they could do something bad to him Caroline instantly turned every single bear to pieces

"I'm sorry Luck..."

she said with a sad look on her face, Caroline took Luck's body and went back to Destiny

"What happened to him? is he alright?"

She asked, she was tearing up as she asked

"He is alright, I'm healing him as we speak"

Caroline told her, Destiny hugged her

"Damn it, it's my gault if I didn't left him alone he wouldn't have ended up like this! Caroline please promise me that he will be alright!"

"He IS alright so you don't have to worry anymore"

Caroline said as she exited the mana zone, Caroline then took Destiny and Luck inside the house, she placed Luck on the couch, and with the element of celestial she made Destiny fall asleep, otherwise, she wouldn't have calmed down, Caroline then proceeded to completely heal Luck's injuries

"Once again sorry..."

Caroline told him, she then went to sleep with Destiny, this eventful night had passed without any kind of loss but this night scarred Destiny, she was afraid that she would lose Luck and at this point in time she couldn't afford to lose another loved one

The night slowly ended, Luck woke up earlier than the other times, it was about 6 A.M so he decided to go for a morning walk, there was no person in sight, the fact that Luck didn't have to see anyone's face was really refreshing

 Luck eventually reached the port, the sea was calm today the only thing Luck could hear was the seagulls howling at the sky, after a moment of looking across the sea Luck decided to go back to his house, but before he left he closely inspected his head, there was no sign of injuries

'strange to think that yesterday I almost died to some toy bears, but that has to become my normal or else I will not be able to bring food to my table'

Luck thought, he then started walking back to his house, not long after he arrived, but before he entered his house he played with the cats outside his house

'I swear these cats are my most loyal friends here'

He thought, he then unlocked his house and entered, Luck was feeling hungry so he immediately went to the fridge, once he opened it he was very surprised because it was full, it had from sweets to vegetables, the fridge contained everything he would need to make food for a month

'Why did Caroline buy so much? It doesn't matter, I will thank her when she wakes up!'

Luck thought as he took out some slices of bread, cheese, and ham, Luck made toast for everyone and waited for them so they can all go to school and hopefully forget this horrible night, after the toasts were ready Luck went to wake up the girls

"Rise and shine! Now get up and come to eat your breakfast!"

Luck told them with a smile, Destiny slowly got up and went to the dinner table, Caroline in the other hand didn't get up so Luck had to improvise by dragging her out of the bed with force, in the end, they all ate together

"Luck are you really alright? I'm sorry that I left you all alone back there!"

Destiny told him after finishing her toast

"I'm okay don't worry about it, after all, Caroline was there to rescue me!"

Luck replied but he wondered something

'I'm sure that Caroline didn't arrive instantly at the place I was, so how did I survive that much? the last thing I remember was a punch coming at me and then I find myself waking up here'

but Luck couldn't bother thinking about it since he had to go to school, everyone got ready and they began walking to school, Caroline and Destiny had walked further and talked about girl things, when they reached the school they found Floga and his crew waiting outside the school gate

"Oh boy, what do they want with us?"

Destiny asked

"Long time no see Luck, seems like you got yourself some good friends while we were gone so why not introduce your little friend to our men?"

Floga said, by "little friend" he meant Caroline

"Come on guys stop bullying Luck!"

Destiny said

"This is not any of your business bitch"

Said a random friend of Floga's, Floga punched the boy in the face

"And who do you think you are?"

Floga said

"Hey stop hitting people Floga!"

Destiny said

"Whatever, I don't have any problem with you, but your friend seems to think that she is a tough guy going around beating everyone up"

Floga told her, he then turned his eyes to Caroline

"You and your boyfriend meet us in the school at midnight, and if you don't we will simply break into your house and force you to come here!"

Floga told them he then left them alone

"Guys, you won't come here, right?"

Destiny asked

"You heard him, if we don't do as he says we won't stop messing with us so I say we go"

Caroline said, Luck didn't seem to have an opinion, he just stood there looking at the ground

"Snap out of it Luck, he won't even be able to touch us, so let's continue our day like nothing"

Caroline said as she looked Luck in the eyes

"Y-You are right! Let's go"

Luck said, he then started walking towards the school entrance
