Chapter 6

Not long after Louis said that, a coughing sound was heard, coming from Andrew, who was still unconscious.

Andrew coughed up blood, a sign that his condition was not good, and Brandon was blamed for it all.

"Stella, look at what you've done by blindly trusting someone?!"

Louis hurriedly tried to check Andrew's current condition. He was about to remove the acupuncture needles stuck in Andrew's body.

"Stop, don't remove them. You'll only make his condition worse!" Brandon tried to stop Louis before he messed everything up.

Louis, of course, was angry because Brandon still dared to speak nonsense in this situation. His friend's condition was truly serious, and Brandon was responsible for it all.

"Stop pretending to understand medicine when all you know how to do is worsen someone's condition. And who are you to tell me, Louis Garcia, what I can or cannot do?!"

Brandon glanced at Stella, knowing who Louis was, so he wanted Stella to choose between him and Louis, who hadn't been able to do anything about Andrew's recovery so far.

Stella, understanding the meaning of Brandon's gaze, immediately felt torn. On one side was Louis, the symbol of modern medicine, while on the other side was Brandon, someone her father had said was their only hope before losing consciousness.

"Stella, it's better if you ask this kid to leave and stop bothering me. Do you really want to see your father die because of this know-it-all kid?!" Louis felt disturbed and couldn't properly administer treatment as long as Brandon was there.

Stella bit her lower lip, and after a while, she said, "Uncle Louis, stop doing anything you want to my father. Let Mr. Brandon do it; he's much better than you."

Louis Garcia stared at Stella in disbelief, not understanding why Stella chose to trust a vague kid like Brandon over a doctor whose skills had been proven like his.

"Stella, are you out of your mind? What's your reason for trusting him so much? Have you been hypnotized or something?"

Stella glared at Louis angrily, her father's life was at stake, so there was no time to argue like this.

"Uncle Louis, let me ask you one thing, can you cure my father?"

Louis Garcia couldn't answer. Andrew had been under treatment for several days, and he and the doctors in his hospital couldn't do much for Andrew's recovery.

"No, right?" Stella said confidently, with a determined look in her eyes. She had truly made her decision, "Then stop bothering Mr. Brandon; he's the only hope for my father to recover!"

Louis's self-esteem was immediately shaken by that. After decades of being a doctor, this was the first time Louis had received the assumption that he was no better than someone who wasn't even a doctor.

"Fine if that's what you want, don't beg or cry in front of me if something happens to your father!" Louis said because his pride was hurt.

After saying that, Louis immediately handed his small box of acupuncture needles to Brandon. Louis wanted to see what Brandon could do, to the point where Stella dared to shout at him like she just did.

Brandon gladly accepted Louis's goodwill to let him heal Andrew because if Andrew was left any longer, he could lose his life at any moment.

Brandon then continued his last acupuncture step, which had been delayed, by carefully and perfectly inserting the last needle into Andrew's lower abdominal point.

After Brandon inserted the last needle, Andrew, who had previously coughed up blood, began to calm down. Andrew's coughing started to subside, a sign that Brandon's acupuncture was starting to work.

"Now what?" Louis asked, not satisfied because if just stopping the cough wasn't enough, since Andrew hadn't even coughed before receiving acupuncture from Brandon, and his condition was even better than now.

Brandon ignored Louis's words, focusing more on observing Andrew's condition after receiving acupuncture from him.

"You scoundrel, are you trying to ignore me? What do you think, you can do whatever you want as long as you make yourself happy?" Brandon returned his focus to his acupuncture.

Louis suddenly felt even angrier, "Of course, I have to say something. Do you think I'll stay silent after you dare to deceive Stella, the daughter of my friend?"

Brandon just remained silent, not responding to Louis's words at all.

"You bastard, just wait until I find out that my friend's condition worsens because of you! You'll be behind bars, you better know that!"

"Teacher, please. Don't disturb him; shouldn't we just wait for the results of his treatment?" Jose tried to calm his teacher.

"You damn student, you're no different! How could you let a stranger like him handle a patient that should be your responsibility? Have you lost your mind?!"

Jose could only smile awkwardly. If Brandon were really that simple, Jose wouldn't let something like this happen. However, Jose had felt Brandon's greatness for himself, so giving Brandon a chance was the only thing he could do.

"Teacher, listen to me. This kid is not ordinary; I've felt his abilities myself."

Louis raised his eyebrows; Jose rarely praised anyone, so he couldn't help but feel curious.

"Is his ability real?"

Jose began to recount the incident when Brandon touched his forehead, causing his headache to disappear instantly.

"Nonsense! Do you think touching someone's forehead is a treatment? You've clearly been fooled by him, you should feel ashamed for still being fooled when I, Louis Garcia, am your teacher!" Louis scolded.

In the end, Jose chose to remain silent because he also didn't know whether Brandon's ability was real or just a coincidence.

When Louis wanted to speak further to scold his student, something unexpected happened regarding Andrew.

Andrew, who had initially been unconscious with closed eyes, suddenly started convulsing.

"Look at what you've done, you damn—"

Louis was about to explode when he was forced to shut up. Andrew, who had been convulsing, suddenly calmed down again. At the same time, a dark fluid with a pungent smell started oozing out of Andrew's pores.

What happened then brought astonishment to everyone, especially to Louis. This was truly unfamiliar to him, even though he was an expert in modern medicine with decades of experience.

Louis didn't consider what happened to Andrew as a good thing, making him want to interrogate Brandon about the incident. When Louis was about to press Brandon to answer his questions, Andrew suddenly opened his eyes.
