Chapter 5

The young doctor suddenly became angry, causing Brandon to stare at him strangely and wonder what had prompted the doctor to say such things.

"Doctor, could you please leave and stop bothering Mr. Brandon?" Stella glared at the doctor, annoyed.

Ignoring Stella's request to leave, the doctor instead reached out to introduce himself to Stella.

"Miss Stella, perhaps you don't know me. I am Jose Smith, a young genius doctor who is currently entrusted with handling your father," Jose said proudly, patting his chest.

Stella only glanced at Jose uninterestedly. "So? What's your reason for bothering Mr. Brandon?"

"What? Of course, it's because what that kid said is nonsense. Poisoning? It's impossible for his diagnosis to be correct when even a genius young doctor like me still doesn't know what caused your father's condition." Jose tried to explain.

Jose's explanation was not well-received by Stella. "If you can't diagnose my father, then don't assume Mr. Brandon also has the same incompetence as you. It's better if you leave before I drag you out of here!"

Jose was surprised. He didn't understand why Stella trusted Brandon more than a genius young doctor like himself.

"Miss Stella, think carefully about what this kid can do to your father. Because of his arrogance, he might make your father's condition worse," Jose insisted.

"Shut up! You don't even know who Mr. Brandon accompanying me here is!" Stella snapped.

The argument between Stella and Jose made Brandon uncomfortable and unable to bear it.

"Jose, is that your name?" Brandon asked.

"Yes, why?" Jose replied arrogantly.

"Tell me what I need to do for you to believe me."

Jose looked at Brandon curiously. He was sure Brandon was just an ordinary person, so he didn't understand why Brandon seemed so confident.

"So, do you really think you can cure Mr. Andrew when I can't even do it?"

Brandon nodded confidently. "Of course, I believe I can do it."

"How?"

Jose couldn't understand where Brandon's confidence came from. What Brandon had just said made no sense because he couldn't diagnose Andrew's illness, let alone cure it.

Brandon soon understood that Jose really doubted him. This made Brandon want to prove that he wasn't just talking nonsense.

"Jose, have you been having trouble sleeping lately?"

Jose was startled by Brandon's sudden question. Strangely enough, what Brandon asked was something he had been experiencing.

"How do you know?"

Brandon sighed deeply, then shook his head slowly. "I also know a few other things just by looking at you."

After saying that, Brandon pointed his finger at Jose's forehead. Brandon's finger touched Jose's forehead quite firmly, causing Jose to startle.

"How is this possible?" Jose touched his forehead, where the headache that had been bothering him for months had suddenly disappeared.

After helping Jose cure one of his illnesses, Brandon finally said, "Are you still going to doubt me?"

Jose remained silent, unable to speak. What had just happened seemed completely absurd to him.

Seeing Jose finally silent and no longer as chatty as before, Brandon could finally perform his duty to cure Andrew in return for Stella's kindness.

"Hmm..." Brandon observed Andrew lying pale on the hospital bed. Shortly after, he began touching various parts of Andrew's body to observe his reactions.

Andrew was still lying pale when Brandon did all that, making Brandon say, "His condition is really serious."

"Mr. Brandon, is it really that serious? Isn't there anything that can be done for my father's recovery?" Stella, with teary eyes, felt quite desperate after hearing Brandon's words; her last hope had just said so.

Brandon remained silent for a moment to think. After a while, he said, "Actually, there is, but I need something to do it."

"Tell me what it is, I'll fetch it for you right away!" Stella said immediately.

Brandon asked Stella to get acupuncture needles. They were needed to remove the poison that was now in Andrew's body.

"Acupuncture needles? My teacher has them, wait a moment, I'll get them," Jose said suddenly.

Without much ado, Jose immediately left and returned not long after with a small box containing quite a few acupuncture needles in his hand.

Jose handed the box to Brandon. Feeling curious to see if Brandon really had the ability or if what had happened to him earlier was just a coincidence, he himself had felt Brandon's help in curing his headache.

After receiving the box containing many acupuncture needles from Jose, Brandon immediately prepared the treatment he wanted to do. Brandon carefully removed the hospital gown worn by Andrew before meticulously locating the points on Andrew's body where he would insert the acupuncture needles.

After determining these points, Brandon swiftly inserted the acupuncture needles into each point. At that time, a total of 11 needles were stuck in Andrew's body, leaving only one needle remaining until the treatment was complete.

As Brandon was preparing to insert the last needle, the door suddenly opened, and an elderly man appeared from there.

"Teacher? What brings you here?" Jose asked, surprised that his teacher suddenly came.

"You disrespectful student! Where did you take my valuable box? Do you think just because you're my student, you're entitled to take that box as you please?"

Jose scratched his head, not expecting his teacher to come looking for the box of acupuncture needles that Brandon was now using.

"Teacher, your valuable box... it's held by my friend over there," Jose pointed to Brandon.

The elderly man raised his eyebrows, extremely surprised to see what was now in front of him.

The acupuncture needles that were now stuck in Andrew's body caught the elderly man's attention, as he had never seen such a chaotic arrangement of acupuncture needles in his life.

"What is this? Are you trying to kill my hospital patient?!" the elderly man exclaimed. He was Louis Garcia, the hospital director and a symbol of modern medicine in the country.

Louis Garcia approached Brandon in anger. He grabbed the box from Brandon's hand and also the last needle that Brandon was supposed to use to cure Andrew.

"Damn it, who let this kid in and try to kill the patient? Where is the security? Why haven't they come?!" Louis said hysterically, glaring at Andrew, whose condition seemed so severe. Andrew was his friend, so he couldn't just stand idly by.

"Uncle Louis, there's a misunderstanding." Stella tried to calm Louis down.

"Stella, don't tell me you're the one who invited this kid here?" Louis asked, half disbelievingly.

"Yes, Uncle Louis. He is Mr. Brandon, an expert—"

Stella hadn't finished her sentence when Louis slammed his box. Louis looked so frustrated after hearing what Stella had just said.

"Uncle Louis, what's wrong?"

Louis massaged his aching head. "Stella, how could you be so foolish as to entrust your father's recovery to a scammer like him?"
