CHAPTER 6-First Task for Today!

After pressing the panel with the command to proceed to the next level, a small light appeared and a loud click sounded once. The panel quickly disappeared, and a new, much wider panel appeared.

Alex notices a rectangular panel hovering in front of him, seemingly out of nowhere. It is dominated by a faintly glowing blue light. An inscription slowly appeared there.

There is a prompt to fill in his full identity. Starting from name, date of birth, parents' names, full address, family members, blood type, and other things related to Alex's life.

"Fill in everything to advance to the next level! You'll get more rewards!"

The adult male voice came back. The tone is cheerful, but there is still a command there.

Alex is silent for a moment, debating whether or not to fill in his full identity. Although the word 'reward' is tempting, he doesn't want to make the wrong move. He knows that this is the system that sent the million dollars to his account, but there's no denying that there's a feeling of anxiety lurking in Alex's heart.

This isn't a scam or something related to a dangerous organization, right? Or worse a black market populated by the mafia?

Alex is quiet for a long time. Images of Sans' family insulting him came to mind and he quickly shakes his head.

No, it was the system that saved his pride. After all, he had already joined, right?

There is no harm in following the orders and seeing what the system can do. So, Alex decides to fill it all out.

The biodata input is very complete and detailed, even down to his underwear size.

After making sure everything was filled in correctly, Alex clicks the finish button. The panel processed his information and loading for just two seconds.

Then, the words "Success!" appeared on the screen.

Is it done? Alex stares at the panel as it slowly dims, then disappears from his view.

"Congratulations! The identity filling is complete!"

His supervisor's voice came back. Alex sometimes wondered where that voice came from, but perhaps he should get used to it.

"A stern warning! Listen carefully to these important instructions. You have successfully filled in your identity and entered the beginning of the game, level one. Every day there will be a new task that you must complete to level up the game. The pinnacle of the level is level 100, so make sure you complete every task. If you don't complete a task or get into trouble, then the impact will fall on your health which will slowly worsen. Even if your mistake is fatal enough, then you will lose your life."

The serious voice of his supervisor makes Alex feel a little wary. Then his voice suddenly became cheerful as he continued, "However, if you complete each task successfully, your level will increase and spectacular rewards await you. You won't regret it when the prize is finally in your hands!"

Earlier, Alex had flinched a little at the line about lives being at stake, but his attention was immediately drawn to the last line.

"If a million dollars is the starting gate for level one, there's no telling what the prize at level 100 would be. Is it 100 times the starting prize?"

"Spectacular prize!!" his supervisor said.

"Is it a palace? A magnificent mansion? Or maybe... an exotic island?" Alex's smile widened at the thought, but apparently his mentor's instructions weren't finished.

"Once you agree to play this system, there is no way out. There is only winning or losing. So, think carefully before you agree to these rules."

The game is a challenge. Like a game of life and death. His life is at stake if he doesn't successfully complete the task, but incredible rewards await if he can make it to level 100.

It might not be easy, but what is wrong with trying?

Alex is tired of the insults from the Sans family, so he wants more rewards and wealth.

Playing the system is dangerous enough, but living under humiliation is even more painful. Alex wanted to prove to the Sans family that he could stand on his own two feet and take revenge on them.

After taking a deep breath, Alex finally clicked the 'Ready' button on the screen firmly. A new panel appears again.

'WELCOME TO THE REAL WEALTH SYSTEM GAME, MASTER ALEX!'

The text filled the screen. Then another text popped up underneath it.

'YOU ARE LEVEL 1. THE TASK STARTS TODAY.'

Then the screen dims and the panel disappears.

Alex blinks and stares around his darkened home. So, the task will start today. But he didn't know if it was this afternoon, or this evening, or this night? Alex is going to wait while waiting for the divorce papers from the court.

Alex walks over to his plush sofa and lays his tired body down. There is still so much money left in his account, he doesn't know what else to buy.

Alex sighs and reflects on what he has done. He had jumped into a game system that is quite challenging and dangerous. It contains levels, tasks, challenges, and amazing prizes.

It is as if Alex is the main pawn and he is plunged into a game in the real world. It all feels very strange and unfamiliar, but Alex is quite happy with what he's got now.

As for the tasks and challenges, he would try his hardest to complete them.

Although, he keeps asking himself about the consequences. Will he be able to keep playing until level 100?

Suddenly a mostly blue panel light system appears in front of Alex.

'DING!'

'FIRST TASK FOR TODAY. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

'YOU MUST GO TO THE SANS' FAMILY HOUSE AND GIVE THEM $100 EACH!'
