Chapter 5-Ding! A Wealth System

The next morning, Alex decides to go to Sans' house.

The Sans family lives in the Gambriell housing estate, which is for the middle class. Alex gets out of the luxury car he just bought this morning, then stares at the two-story house in front of him. He deliberately not changing his clothes to see how the wealth-crazed family would react.

He begins to imagine the insults they will hurl. And once through the door, it just so happened that the Sans family members did not even know he there. Alex is greeted by cursing from his brother-in-law.

"Oh look, who's here? The useless unemployed!" Shouted John who was standing not far from the entrance. "After pretending to be rich at the hospital, you still dare to come back here?"

Jasmine approaches Alex who is standing still in his place. The woman's face was contorted with hatred and her lips formed a sardonic smile. "Why are you back here? You said we were getting a divorce, but you still come to this house? Don't you have any shame?" She asked in a harsh voice.

"That useless son-in-law must want to beg after realizing what he did last night," Mrs. Anne sneered. Her eyes only glanced at Alex briefly, then she placed the fruit tray in front of Victor. "He acts like he has hundreds of millions of dollars. But look at him now, he's back in this house. It's disgusting!"

Alex keeps his mouth tightly shut as he stares at his father-in-law who is preparing to launch into a diatribe.

"Ah Anne, you know how poor men act," Mr. Victor said with an exaggerated sigh. He sits in a wheelchair, paralyzed for years from an accident, but his mouth never changes. Always sharp and rude.

Victor seems to scrutinize Alex's shabby appearance for a few seconds, then his gaze turns reproachful. The man looked away quickly, as if he can't bear to look at Alex's ugly face.

"Tsk, go away! I don't want to see a useless trashy guy like you here. I don't want to see a poor and useless man like you here. You're not welcome here anymore." Mr. Victor swung his hand to shoo Alex away.

Instead of feeling sad, Alex laughs and it brings question marks on the faces of the Sans family members.

Mrs. Anne gives an exasperated hiss. "Why are you laughing? Have you realized your pathetic position. You are not equal to us. Get out of here, we don't want your face anymore!"

"Calm down Mrs. Anne Sans," Alex said after listening silently to the Sans family's insults. "I just want to get my clothes and stuff and get out of here." Alex said calmly and casually, then stepped into his room to pack the rest of his clothes.

He doesn't have a lot of stuff, so Alex just put everything into a medium-sized tote bag. Well, it doesn't really matter. He can buy a lot of new clothes from famous designers. It was just that his old clothes were a memory, as well as a reminder that he had once lived miserably in this rotten family.

Alex had bought a luxurious house in an elite and classy neighborhood. He will move in with Bianca. Her daughter can home in the afternoon, so Alex will come to pick her up.

After making sure there was nothing left behind, Alex returns to the living room where the Sans are waiting with annoyed faces. They obviously don't want to see Alex again, but Alex secretly quite enjoyed the look of annoyance on their smug faces.

"Are you done with your garbage? Now, get the hell out of here! I'm sick of seeing your faces!" Jasmine opened the door wide and gave Alex a sharp look. Her shiny red painted nails could be seen gripping the doorknob. She was clearly holding back her anger at Alex's casual demeanor.

Alex can't stop himself from chuckling. For some reason, everything felt so funny now. "I'll be leaving soon, take it easy, my ex-wife. Who can stand living in this house? I've already bought a house ten times more luxurious than this one."

"Seriously? Don't dream in broad daylight. You must have a brain problem," John said with a mocking expression.

Ms. Anne and Mr. Victor are laughing, they don't believe Alex's words at all. But, Alex himself doesn't care and shrugs his shoulders casually.

He had no time to deal with people who were greedy for money, let alone explain about his newfound wealth. The Sans could be called a family of sycophants. They are greedy and never satisfied with anything.

Alex imagines how miserable it must be for Harri to be the next victim. This family had ensnared the man with sweet words and Harri had believed them. Especially Jasmine who had managed to seduce Harri.

Later this afternoon, Alex is going to sign the divorce papers that came from the court. He can use his money to speed up the process, so that he doesn't have to socialize with this family anymore.

Alex stands in the doorway and before stepping away, he stares at each of the Sans family members who stare back haughtily. Their arrogance had reached the sky, while they continued to regard Alex as dirt.

In the future, we'll see who's dirtier, Alex thought with a smirk.

"Goodbye everyone," Alex said before walking quickly to his car.

Alex returns to his house and stares at the magnificent three-story building he bought last night. He is also starting to build his property business. He still had half of his money left and he was confused about what else to buy.

Suddenly, a familiar voice came back!

Alex hastily closed the door and stared at the empty air. He had always been curious about the voice, where it came from, but now he seemed to have gotten used to it.

"Master, please pay attention to the system panel in front of you! I am your supervisor here."

The voice came back, "Congratulations on spending half the money from your first wealth system! Then, you must register on this panel to advance to the next level of the wealth system!"

"Wealth system? The next level? Is this some kind of game?" Alex didn't understand at all. But he is very curious about what would happen next.

Ding! Ding!

A shadow of a blue system panel suddenly appears in the air. Without any further thought, Alex happily clicks on the button.
