Did he really get a vacation from the system panel?

Three days had passed since he completed his task against the mutants, and there was no notice until this weekend. If he was indeed given time to rest for a while, shouldn't there have been a notification? Or at least a confirmation from his supervisor?

He felt confused himself.

Alex went about his business as usual. He had also asked Leo about mutant research in the system world, but he knew nothing about it. So, Alex had tried to forget about it.

"Alex, you're going to the gym this morning, right?"

Alex turned his head at the sound of Lucia's voice. He reached for his jacket in the closet before turning to face his wife. Lucia stood in the doorway, still in her pajamas.

The sun was just rising, but Alex intended to go for a morning run first. He would only be going to the nearest gym that opened at seven.

"Ah yes so, I'll leave now," he replied.
