CHAPTER SEVENTY

Robert got home and poured himself a drink into a cup half filling it, bourbon to be precise. He gulped it down in one go, he felt the hot sensation against his throat as the drink slid down in his throat into his stomach. He took another gulp but this time he drank directly from the bottle, draining it to half of the bottle.

He sat down on the floor in front of the couch in his sitting room, his feet on the floor while he raised his knee, his hand resting on his knees.

The fear he felt at one of the Brenti’s hotels where he just had dinner at a few hours ago, he raised his head to look at what the time says on the clock that was hung on the wall opposite him, two-thirty, it was already way past midnight, he watched as the clock ticked slowly as each seconds pass by.

He was sure that he had concluded the dinner at the hotel and left when it was some minutes past nine. He had hurriedly headed straight to the hospital where Hazel was admitted.
