A daunting Task

Looking at the large crowd it suddenly hit him like a ball, ‘how am I meant to find Allison, the characters were chosen at random and they would probably not have the same characters as they did in the test program.

This was really annoying for him, and indeed frustrating as it just made the work harder for him but that would soon be the least of his problems as another soon entered the large podium from the two large doors that stood by the side and this new visitor would soon break the bombshell.

His presence made the former rowdy hall to quieten as he carried a domineering aura with him, it didn’t carry any pressure but was strong enough to get the crowd’s attention. Following behind him were two others and they all had the same attire, like some kind of military personnel’s.

A thick black leather coat going all the way even below the knee cap, a slim fitted crimson black breastplate and chest piece and a leather jean trousers everything was a perfect mix of black. They were adorned as though they were about to head out for a war which certainly made the air around them feel tense.

But the most oddly noticeable thing of their attire was the black mask they all had on, on the surface it looked like nothing special but the red mark ingrained at the forehead region of the mask, it wasn’t very large but the bright red color was enough for many to see. It was a red skull with a blade pierced through it and coming out from the other end.

However with a cough, they all paid attention to what he was about to say, “Well rather than beat around the bush let’s just get straight to the point” his loud voice resounded round the large podium.

Taking a deep breath he continued “As some of you have already noticed we will not be able to leave this game, in other words, we’re trapped here for the time being and that is until all the bosses in this game have been dealt with” He declared loudly causing many that were not aware of this, to gasp in shock as a sudden feeling of anxiety struck them all.

Nolan was taken aback by the sudden information which put more weight on his shoulders, if we were going to be staying here for a while didn’t mean there’d soon be an uprising, it was clear some people would certainly go crazy.

But not to be mistaken his major priority was Allison, it would be hard to take good care of her if she wasn’t close by, and this of course made him worried. Not too far off from where he was a white-haired figure stood with another.

“Tenkin, do you really think it was the best idea for him to let all these people know this, won’t it make the distress start sooner” Allison asked raising a brow.

“It doesn’t matter, they’d figure out sooner or later it makes no difference if they did now” he calmly replied rubbing his temples.

The masked man continued as the noise died down, “That is why I have gathered you all here, soon they will be a high increase in crime rate, death, and turmoil as more and more people find out about this, that is why I have decided it was best to create this faction. With your help we can manage the affairs that would happen in this virtual world keeping everything in check and assuring safety until those on the outside fix this” he said taking a sight pause as he raised his hands into the air

“Join me and let’s make our stay here a peaceful one devoid of madness” he ended his speech and stood in wait as the crowd soon entered into chattering, with groups deciding amongst themselves.

Apart from a distant two who just stood doing nothing and Nolan himself who stood at the far back of the crowd thinking of how he’d find Allison.

“It would be better if I just try to get her attention and then maybe she’d know it’s me, but how do I do that….. Maybe I should just start by asking around, there’s a possibility she’d be here too” he thought to himself. Scanning the group of people he could see two standing by the side doing nothing ‘Let me start with those two’ he thought as he advanced toward the two in question.

However, midway into his advancement, another blocked his path, “Hey my name is Emmy, you seem to be a bit stranded. Mind partnering up with me and my team? ” she said with a cherry smile as she asked Nolan who was a bit startled by her unexpected coming.

“Umm sure, I don’t mind….but I’m actually in search of someone now” he replied with a wry smile. Unbeknownst to him as he was still locked in his conversation the two he had wanted to meet had soon left the gathering and the masked man noticed this and wasn’t too happy about it.

“Why do these people just have to make things hard for me, if they keep leaving like that they’d eventually urge the others to leave to”

Amongst the crowd many were still bickering on the topic he’d brought up so none noticed him signaling the two behind him to go deal with the two that had left, he had no intention of killing them but he just wanted to teach the two a lesson.
