Dr. Edward was working on something in his lab and then his assistant scientist walked into the lab. “Sir, the police are outside the building waiting to see you, it is concerning Dr. Colvert.” The assistant scientist said when he got to Dr. Edward. “You know I said never to disturb me when I am working on something. But I guess I will let you off the hook for this one because it is very important.” Dr. Edward started to remove his eye goggles, mask and gloves. And then his assistant said. “But I don’t understand sir, why are you so fixed on getting the chemical Dr. Colvert created. I thought it was unstable and dangerous.” Dr. Edward finished with what he was doing and walked toward the exit of his lab, but before he left he said, “Walk with me.” He left the lab and his assistant rushed to him immediately. “I am sure he will not kill you, he just needs the chemical back from you that is all.” Simon said. “I haven’t known Dr. Covert for long but I can already tell that he is unstable and he is capable of doing anything to get what he wants.” Derick said. Derick realized that if he plays his cards right he will be free. “I cannot do anything about the situation now, I cannot go against Dr. Colvert.” “Do you really want Dr. Colvert to end up with the chemical that is inside me? Do you know what he will be able to do with that kind of power?” “Even if I free you now, what are you going to do? He is still going to look for you.” “Honestly I don’t know, maybe go to the police. Derick was woke up by a gentle push from the elderly woman who was driving. He opened his eyes and he could see the car moving. He could not believe he slept off in a stranger’s car but now he felt his strength coming back to him. “We have reached the city, where would you want me to drop you off?” The woman said while driving. Derick got himself and sat up. He wanted to go straight home but then he realized that if there was anywhere that Dr. Colvert will look for him when he finds out that he escaped, it will be his home. Dr. Colvert was able to find him in his school so he did not want to take any chance. So he decided to go to John’s house instead, “Just keep going ma’am, you will be there soon.” Derick said to the woman. Now he was calm and relaxed, he started to think about everything that has happened so far. He could not imagine how much his life has changed. Dr. Colvert went up the stairs and Simon followed him. As they walked through the hallway, Simon could do nothing but hope that the doctor would not find out that it was because of him that Derick escaped. Now he was walking behind the doctor, he started to regret his decision freeing Derick, he knew that there was no way the doctor will not know it was him. “What are you going to do now sir?” Simon asked with a frightened voice. Dr. Colvert did not say anything, he just continued to walk and this only made Simon more frightened. They reached the doctor’s lab and they went inside. Simon was still wondering what the doctor was planning on doing now. Dr. Colvert started to clear some chemicals and equipment from a table. “Now that the kid is gone it is going to be hard to get him.” Dr. Colvert said. “I am sure that the government and police already know about the kid and are working on finding him.” He continued. “But how would they know about him?” Simon said.

He got to his house but he stayed at a distance and the police did not see him. He was still trying to figure out what was going on. He did not see any ambulance around and the house was intact so the fear of Dr. Colvert getting to his mother was gone but he still wondered what the police was doing in his home. He was tired of assuming so he decided to move to his house. As he went closer, some police officers where coming out of his house and his mother was also coming came out with them. They police officers where dragging his mother out of the house and the sight of that got him furious. “What are you doing? Why are you people here? And where are you taking me to?” Derick’s mother said as the police dragged her out of the house. Derick could not hold himself anymore, he rushed to his house and now he was in the middle of all the police while he mother was in front of him close to the house. “What are you doing with my mother? He wanted his mother to be safe and he knew that she will not be safe with him around. He was not about to go with Dr. Edward so he had to figure something out and fast. He looked around again and all the police in the area where no longer firing their guns at him, some of them where injured while the rest had no bullets left in their guns. He looked at his mother one last time and then ran away. He left the street and the area. Derick knew that they will not hurt his mother because they are the police and she was better off with them than with him. After Derick left, Dr. Edward came out of hiding and looked at all the destruction. He knew that things have become bigger and complication. He knew that he had to figure something out. The next day, it was morning and Celia was walking through the streets. She did not know where to go now that the police put her on the news. Derick did not want things to get out of hand and he did not want lose Celia now he was with her, he tried to figure out what to do to make the men leave them but he could not think of anything. The men were still walking towards them and Derick looked behind and Celia was still there, she looked scared. He knew that taking on the men was not a problem but he did not want to have another outburst of rage. He wanted to tell Celia to run away so he could handle the men but he was not sure if she will run far away and leave him. Then as he was thinking, one of the man hit him with an iron rod on his head. Derick fell on the floor. He started to feel dizzy, he started to bleed from his mouth. He did not understand what was going on, that hit was not supposed to affect him or even make him bleed. He has not felt this weak since the chemical came into his body. He looked back at Celia again and she was still standing there so he tried to get himself fast. But before he could get

Derick started to get himself back, he sat up and Celia shifted a bit away from him. “I know all this seem a bit too much for you to understand right now but I promise you, just follow me and I will explained the best I can to you and maybe you can also help me.” Derick said to Celia. Celia knew that her father was involved with Derick somehow and she had to figure out how. With everything that was going on, Celia was frustrated. Derick’s bullet wound healed completely, now it was just a whole in his shirt. He tried to stand up but he was still weak, he has not gotten all his strength back. So Celia helped him stand up. “If I follow you now, where would we go? The police are also looking for me.” Celia said. “We will go to a friend’s place, a friend I trust.” He replied. Derick’s clothes were covered in blood and Celia knew that they could not walk around like that so she removed the hoddie she was wearing, “Here.” She handed the hoodie to Derick. “Wear this, you can
