Chapter Twelve

Tyler walked down the stairs of the building like nothing happened a few minutes ago. As if he wasn't accused of presenting fake stuff as birthday presents to Ava. As if he wasn't discriminated against because of how he was dressed.

He became less worried about that the moment his father's message popped into his phone. At first, that message felt like one of those entries he writes to Will Donalds, but the urgency in the message made him have a quick rethink. Johnson wouldn't pull such a prank on him. Not today. Of all days. Not when his newfound wealth has been revealed to him. Not when the urge for revenge is thumping hard on his chest.

Tyler reached for his phone again to read the text his father sent to him again.

'Hey, son. Where you? I just got you a new crib. I need you to come check it out right now. The address is ....... Come quick Tyler"

A gasp evaded his lips after he read the text again. He shoved his phone back into his pocket as he waited for a taxi.
