Lucifer’s reflection remained still for a moment, then he leaned forward, his eyes glinting like two crimson stars caught in mist. His voice slithered through the bathroom, low and coaxing.

“Put it on,” he said, with the calm insistence of a serpent in Eden. “It’s time.”

I said nothing. My breath fogged the mirror as I stood there, naked and soaked beneath the lingering steam. The pendant rested in my hand, warm now—too warm. I stared at it in silence, the weight of its ancient presence anchoring itself deeper into my palm.

Thump.

It pulsed again, a faint glow rising from its core, as if it were... calling to me.

“Put it on,” Lucifer urged again, this time more eagerly, his voice louder, vibrating through the walls of the room, through my chest. “It’s meant for you.”

And then I heard them.

The voices.

Whispers, low and layered, echoing from the pendant like a thousand forgotten prayers tangled in time.

The kiss deepened, searing and intoxicating, her hands gripping the back of my neck as my fingers pressed into her waist. The heat between us was rising like wildfire, the air charged with raw, primal hunger. Her body molded perfectly against mine, and for a fleeting second, the world outside ceased to exist. But just as her fingers began trailing down my back, I broke the kiss—quickly, abruptly. • ASCENSION

Smoke curled in thick, choking tendrils across the scorched air. Everything around me was burning—stone reduced to ash, walls collapsed into rubble, the air itself trembling with heat and fury. Somewhere in the distance, something groaned—a piece of the ruined chamber still collapsing under its own weight.“John…”A voice, distant and muffled, pierced the haze like a shard of ice.“John, wake the fuck up—”The world tilted violently. My head throbbed like it had been split open by a goddamn mountain. My eyes fluttered, dry and heavy as stone, and I blinked against the blinding light. Everything was blurry. Just shapes… fire… smoke… ruins. All of it drifting in and out like a dream I couldn’t hold onto. The pain… God, the pain.My skull pulsed with every heartbeat, like a drumbeat from hell itself. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t breathe right. All I remembered was—Lucenzo. That final, monstrous blow. That

The chamber couldn’t hold him.Lucenzo took one more step forward, and the ground split apart beneath him. Stone shattered like glass. Pillars that had stood for centuries crumbled to dust, the pentagram beneath his feet pulsing like a beating heart of fire and blood. The walls groaned. Then cracked. Then exploded outward as if the realm itself rejected his presence. The infernal wind howled louder—alive, tearing through the air like the wail of a thousand tormented souls. Chains snapped from the walls and whipped around the room like metal vipers. Hellfire poured from the ceiling, raining down in molten arcs, scorching everything it touched.“MOVE!” I shouted, grabbing Lilith’s arm and yanking her back just as a flaming chunk of debris slammed into where she’d stood. But Lucenzo barely noticed. His eyes were locked on us with a hunger that made my blood freeze.Morgana cackled behind him, still bound in chains, but glowing with sick joy.

  • THE ARRIVAL OF LUCENZO

Her lips parted, and in a breathless whisper, she muttered, “So… John was right about you all along.”I smirked, folding my arms as pride laced my voice. “Yes, I was. And I’ll admit—I’m proud of that.”Morgana laughed—sharp and cruel as she gazed at me. “Of course you were. You figured out my plan the moment I arrived last night...”'she paused, turning her gaze to Lilith. “Unlike you, dear sister… you’ve become so dull and foolish since the day you escaped from Hell.”Her words struck like venom, and something in me snapped. My jaw clenched, and without a word, I raised my hand. The demonic chains responded instantly, glowing with an infernal red light before igniting in hellfire. Flames raced along the length of the chains, searing into Morgana’s flesh. She screamed—a shrill, agonized sound that echoed off the chamber walls.I walked closer, lowering my voice,
