2. The Prodigal Son

"Your son has married a woman from the Osvaldo family." 

Max sat in his chair leaning back, enjoying the cigarette still in his left hand. This son, who had been missing for a dozen years, was found a few days ago by Axton who was none other than Max's manager or right-hand man. 

The man's gaze was intense with facial hair that filled his lower cheeks. "Are you sure that he is Ethan?" 

Axton nodded his head. "I've confirmed it's him. Ever since that kidnapping incident over twenty years ago. All the birthmarks and characters, as well as Andrew being very similar to Mrs Claire, I've also checked with the place where Ethan works."

An elderly woman came out of the room and looked at them. "Who are you looking for?" 

"We're looking for you, ma'am." 

The woman's face turned pale as she heard that they had come here to look for Milly - Ethan's adoptive mother or as Andrew called her. 

"I will pay the rent for this place. Please be patient!" 

The door that was about to be closed was immediately held by Axton. "I'm Axton, not here to collect the rent. But I want to talk to you about Andrew." 

The woman's gaze was immediately startled at the mention of Andrew's name. They were welcomed into the house. There wasn't even enough seating in the house to receive guests. 

They were served drinks, and Axton pulled out a picture of the Smith family. "I came here to find Ethan or the one you named Andrew. Ethan is the son of Max Alexander Smith, who owns a company in Toronto that deals in construction, IT and engineering. While Ethan was at school, he was kidnapped and never found again." 

Milly Steward's shocked expression was shocked when Axton explained. "Are they going to kill me for taking their son?" Milly asked. 

Axton smiled kindly. "No.  I am to your place obviously to thank you. Our master will be coming in the next few days. After all, is done in Toronto, our boss will come to see you. But first, I would like to offer you something." 

Axton pulled out a chequebook with five million dollars on it. "What is this?" 

"A token of gratitude from our master to your family. However, I would like to take you to Toronto." 

"My husband isn't home yet." 

Axton nodded. "When will your husband be home ma'am?" 

"A few hours from now." 

Axton understood that. He had first encountered Ethan at one of the companies Max worked with. The man looked familiar to him. The photo of Ethan when he was lost was also in this house. Until the boy grew up, everything was immortalized by Milly.

The conversation was silent. But then Milly excused herself, the woman was cooking for her family. Meanwhile, Axton asked his bodyguard to sit down while waiting for Milly to return. Axton had prepared everything for this woman.

"Madam, do you have a daughter?" asked Axton as he looked at the photo of a girl on Ethan's lap. 

"This year she is taking her exams for university. It just so happens that she has enrolled in one of the universities by pursuing a scholarship." 

"Tell me, which university does your daughter want to go to?" 

"My daughter is taking the entrance exam at Y University." 

"Okay, I will take care of her admission there."

Milly still couldn't believe the surprise of meeting the biological parents of the child she had cared for over twenty years. After several years of caring for Andrew, she finally had a child. 

Milly smiled at them all and thanked them for helping her daughter get into the university she wanted. 

Axton waited for a long time. Mr Steward then returned from work. "Who are you guys?" 

"They are Andrew's parents' men," Milly explained to her husband. Before Axton could explain. 

"Andrew?" 

"Yes." Milly took a photo and then showed a picture of Andrew's extended family with his parents and grandparents. Milly also explained that Andrew's real name was Ethan Alexander Smith. The son of a famous businessman in Toronto. Where was the first time the Steward family took care of Andrew when there was an accident and all the passengers died, except Andrew. 

Mr Steward finally nodded and sat down with Axton. 

"Tell your daughter that you are going to Toronto now." 

Mr Steward gawked. But Milly explained the purpose again. 

Finally, they agreed to be invited to Toronto to meet Andrew's extended family.
