REBORN AS A HYBRID

SABRINA'S SECRET DESTINATION

"Here is your room, have a good night." Sabrina said as she gave John a wide smile.

" Thank you," John said.

"Your welcome," Sabrina said, then she turned to take her leave, but then she heard John's voice saying " Wait," which made her turn back and face John.

" Umm.. I.. I am John, nice to meet you" John stood there with a red face as he tried to speak. He wasn't good with girls so he felt embarrassed that his speech was shaky.

" Oh, I am Sabrina, nice to meet you too." Sabrina replied politely.

" Good night," John said as he rushed into his room and closed the door.

' Damnit, look what you made me do Cassian, are you happy now?' John asked, feeling enraged.

' Uhh.. Don't worry it was a good start, next time you will do better.'

' There is no next time,' John replied.

At night, for some reason, John could not sleep, so he decided to go outside and get some fresh air. When he stepped outside, he picked up a familiar scent. It was that of Sabrina. Then John's ears picked up the sound of Sabrina's footsteps and when he looked up he saw her taking a bend down the street.

' Where could she be going at this ungodly hour? I knew from the start something was off about this girl.' John thought to himself. 

John decided that he would go after Sabrina, but he did so in the hiding so as to make sure he wasn't spotted by Sabrina.

As John kept trailing Sabrina, at first it was in the city where houses were everywhere beside the road and street lights lit the area. But she kept going till she entered a dark area with almost no buildings, then she stopped at an abandoned building and entered inside. 

John followed inside with caution and when he stepped in, everywhere was dark. Even though John could see clearly in the darkness, Sabrina was nowhere to be seen and the building was completely empty.

John wandered if somehow Sabrina saw him and tricked to get away, but when he followed her scent towards a wall, he discovered that there was a secret door on it. The problem was that the door had a puzzle on it that needed to be solved for it to open.

' How did she solve this puzzle in such a short time?' John asked himself.

' I recognize this puzzle. How come this puzzle still exists in this generation? This must be an ancient building. This puzzle was used by the Vampires to protect their treasures. She solved it fast because the puzzle has just six moves that unless you are taught, you will never know." Cassian explained.

With the direction of Cassian, John was able to solve the puzzle and unlock the door. On the other side of the door were stairs leading downwards. 

John started going down the stairs and the door quickly closed behind him.

He went down till he arrived at a big hall full of many people and from their scents, John could tell they were all Hybrids.

' How can such a big place exist below a building?' John asked himself.

' It seems like they are having a meeting,' Cassian remarked.

John went closer and stood among the people and he looked where everyones' attention was. There, on the stage in front, a muscular man stood with a woman beside him who was dressed up in full armor.

Guards also stood on the stage and other guards could be spotted randomly around the hall. The muscular man on stage stepped forward, then he started speaking.

" My dear friends, I would like to welcome you once more for another meeting.

For those who are new,  I would like to give a special welcome to the NTR association.

We all here can agree that the rules concerning Hybrids are too strict. I for one lived a lonely life full of rejection. 

I worked without payment, no one wanted to sell articles to me all because the council of elders ruling Paradise City have branded us illegal citizens.

We all faced horrible lives alone out there, but no more. The No To Racism association is here to ensure that together we shall grow and create our own community. A community of equality. A community where humans, wolves, Vampires and Hybrids can choose to associate with whoever they wanted.

This is what our hero Jim Cassian, the first ever Hybrid to be born, would have wanted." The muscular finished his speech and the whole crowd burst in applause, while John was left mouth open.

' I am their hero?' John asked himself.

' No doubt they are all Hybrids. Strange to see that in future you are standing in a gathering where people remember you as their hero.' Cassian remarked.

" Hey what type of Hybrid are you, you smell different from any race." A man beside John asked him.

" Yeah you smell so different," Another man remarked.

" Uh.. I am a Hybrid of uh... A wolf and a sheep?" John replied.

' Oh boy, here comes trouble, I can't believe I am so dumb in the future.' said Cassian.

' Well, you are not helping, what  do you want me to say?' John asked.

' Just tell them you are their hero, Cassian.' Cassian replied.

' Even if I said that, no one would believe me.' John said.

' Then you show them the chain containing the red crystal you are putting on.' Cassian explained.

as John was gaining attention, Sabrina noticed him.

' John, what is he doing here? That idiot followed me.' She thought to herself.

" A Hybrid of a wolf and a sheep, what sort of combination is that? I have never heard of such a combination before." A man in the crowd said.

" He might be a spy sent by Drexeler."

" Yeah let's get him." The crowd started moving slowly towards John, surrounding him from every side.

" Wait," Sabrina's voice echoed from among the crowd. Everyone turned their heads to see who was talking and when they noticed it was Sabrina, they bowed their heads.

" it's madam Sabrina, why is she stopping us?"  Whispers were all over the place.

" He is with me, I just brought him here today.  Believe me when I say this, he is a Hybrid, a new type of Hybrid and we were just leaving." Sabrina said as she pulled out of the crowd.

The people were so respectful of Sabrina so they quietly went away.

Sabrina looked at John with unbelieve, and all John could do was give a silly smile.
