A THREATENING MESSAGE

Maxwell spent the rest of his day afterwards, stewing in the anger that even he knew was unreasonable. He did not ever want to see Raegan with another man that was not him, even though they had been broken up for two years now. And it wasn't because he loved her, he just didn't want her to be happy when he wasn't happy or in a relationship. He was more angry at Cade than he was at Raegan. It was as though Cade had beat him to the game of being the only person Raegan was so much in love with.

He knew that Cade was the owner of the Milton Conglomerate and that it would be hard to hurt Cade as much as he badly ached to do. But he wanted to hurt Raegan. As if cheating on her was not enough for him. Hurting Cade will hurt Raegan and maybe when she was heartbroken, she would run back to his arms again.
