The next day, Maxwell walked into the company building, smiling at the receptionist. He looked devilishly handsome in the tuxedo that he wore, so that the receptionist got hot just from looking at him. He knew he had an effect on her and she wasn’t the only one. Other women stared at him with awe or longing as he walked past them and it made him smile proudly. He knew that he was such a handsome and irresistible man, and it warmed his stomach each time he saw a woman getting all hot and flushed from just looking at him. "Go on," Cade said. He clasped his palms under his chin as he waited for Maxwell to talk about his proposal. Maxwell brought a file from his briefcase, and cleared his throat before he began. "After a careful and thorough research made by myself on the merchandise of the Milton Conglomerate, I found that the Milton Conglomerate lacks in the area of food catering supplies. Given that this is an all round merchandise company, I think that the unavailability of that aspect in the company is a huge loophole that would cause a setback or missed opportunities for the company. While the Milton Conglomerate has proven to grow without the need to have this as a part of their merchandise, I can prove to you from my research that the Milton Conglomerate has missed a few, if not more opportunities, for this. Raegan cursed underneath her breath and Cade turned to face her. "What's wrong, baby?" Cade asked. He looked at where she was looking, but did not see why Raegan should shout. The Ericssons were a big company that dealt on different merchandise themselves, only that they were a lot smaller than the Milton Conglomerate. It was because they wanted to expand their domain that they decided to partner with the Milton Conglomerate. However, they were already partners with Maxwell Jordan in the field of technology. Now, Maxwell made a big part of that company because of his political influence on the company's technology department. If he were not just a partner, the CEO of the Ericsson Companies would have made him a board member. They got to a restaurant that dealt mainly with wines and Spanish food. Thankfully, Laurel was impressed by the place. It did not take too much to woo her. Maxwell was grateful for that. Now, all he needed to do was order some good wine and lace his ‘idea’ with the sweetest charm he could muster. He really was not enjoying this as much as he thought he would. "What would you like to order?" Maxwell asked her after they had secured a spot to sit in the restaurant. The restaurant was really beautiful. Its scape was set to be dim and lit by lights that seemed to be dying out. It was a romantic ambience, and Maxwell liked that he made this choice. It would pass his message – even though it was fake and he did not mean it – to Laurel quite easily. Laurel looked at the menu once again. The prices of the wines in the menu were ridiculously high, same as the food.
