Cade's camera set finally arrived, as well as the electric cake mixer that he ordered for his mother. The camera came with a full kit, and all they had to do was figure out a way to hire a technician to set it up without anyone getting suspicious. The day for Alex to present all that he had learnt in the past three years to the board had come. The board members sat in the boardroom, unaware of the cameras taking record of all they were doing, while they waited for Alex's arrival. They had gotten accustomed to his style of coming late to any meeting he had with the board. In an hour or so, he would be with them so they conversed among themselves. They had scheduled the meeting to take place by 10am that day, but it was already a few minutes past ten and Alex was not in sight. “Let me get back to my presentation. There’s no need for words to be exchanged.” Alex said to try and keep the peace. The next day, the board members assembled in the boardroom again. Their purpose of convening was to deliberate on whether to make Alex the CEO or not. It was a hard decision to make, because they had seen just the previous day that Alex did not learn anything from the training he was supposed to do and was not fit to be the CEO, but they also knew that he had done his own part of the deal and it will be unjust to not give him the position. Also, they knew that Alex and his mother would make trouble again if Alex was not given the position. As it is with meetings, arguments ensued between the members before a final decision was made. Mackenzie Milton got home earlier than usual that day. Usually, when board meetings were held, he came back home late. But not today.
