They still weren’t sure if Alex and his mother had spies among the Milton mansion’s staff. Gale was still in the process of vetting them all which was why Cade always had to come disguised even for a brief meeting with his mother. And spending the night with her was dangerous, it would be very suspicious for a delivery guy to stay over and not leave till the next morning. But they thought of a solution. Cade’s mother had to pretend like he was sick and so she cared for him throughout the night instead of sending him home where he lived alone. With his blonde disguise, no one would ever guess that it was really her son and not a delivery person.
