The days went by smoothly for everyone. Carlson was, as usual, diligent in his work. William was still making trouble to prevent Carlson and Leighton from getting close to each other but his plans were backfiring. Leighton never listened while William complained and the more he tried to separate them, the more Carlson and Leighton got closer.

William decided to confess that he likes her now and would like to date her.

"Leighton, you said you like me back then right? Well I like you too. I've just been too shy to confess my feelings to you. But now I want you to know the truth." William said to her.

He had invited her out for dinner. He booked the best restaurant in the city, paid people to come play the violin for her and even paid for an expensive flower arrangement. She stared at him for several seconds before replying.
