Cassandra had told her son of how Cade came to question her. She did not know what Cade was up to with his questions, but she knew it would be no good for her son. Alex was utterly angered by the information from his mother. What was Cade's fucking business in this matter? He knew too, that Cade was up to something. He is always up to something, isn't he? Alex did not want to tell himself the truth: he knew why Cade had interviewed his mother. His guards immediately stepped forward to apprehend Alex or possibly beat the living daylights out of the boy but once again, they were held back by Cade. “You’re just a spineless bastard, Alex. Cade had not seen Raegan since the incident with Alex. He did not want to bother her with his problems, so he did not reach out to her. Cade had invited Ingrid over to his place while he was still at his mom's. He had scheduled their meeting for today, the day he left his mother's place and back to his own apartment. He hoped the lady would like to be there for what he called ‘a chitchat’ in his mail to her. The evening ended on a good note for Cade. Raegan called him as she had said she would. They talked till late into the night and by the time the call was over, both participants smiled themselves to sleep. They agreed on a time for when they would have the movie date suggested by Cade. But Cade kept the location a secret. He wanted to surprise Raegan. They would have the date during the weekend. Cade could not wait. Raegan herself looked forward to it. During the week, Cade got himself busy with work and curating his evidence against Alex meticulously. No iota of information was to be missing from his documentation. He wanted to make sure he had every evidence possible to bring Alex to book. But he would also begin gathering evidence for when Alex and his mother tried to kill him years ago.
