Her mother came running to Hailey's room thinking she was in some trouble. Since Hailey became pregnant, she had been extra careful with her, and always doted on her to make sure she delivered the millionaire’s baby successfully. "What's the problem, darling?" Her mother asked as she got to Hailey's room. "Look." She said to her mother while pointing at the television with the remote control in her hands. The mother looked, but now the camera was directed at a board member talking. Her mother was confused. What did the man on the television have to do with anything? "What's going on?" Cade finally spoke up. He had gotten the reaction he wanted, to his satisfaction. He had seen the unmistakable surprise in Alex's eyes. Had seen Alex’s mother pass out in front of everyone. Had heard his father call out his name as though he were unsure of Cade's existence. He also had a good time watching the board members wonder aloud and in surprise. He was not the only one that was pleased by the reaction, even Gale could hardly keep a straight face at this time. "Gentlemen." Cade began. "Please can we be calm?" It was almost physically impossible for the men to calm down. As for Cassandra, she obviously could not, because she still had an awestruck look on her face. "I will tell you all about everything now," he said. He looked around, noting that his call had been effective. The men were calm now and listening expectantly. Cade gestured to Gale who understood and went to sit somewhere in the room. Then Cade kept his glasses on the table in the room and began his narration.

“You can’t make demands like that. You’re not even a board member, but you seem to keep forgetting your place just because we let you be part of some meetings out of courtesy.” Gale said to Cassandra.“It’s fine, Gale.” Cade said with a smile and everyone turned to him, even his mother was surprised that he wanted to agree to Cassandra’s term.“She’s right. I’ve been away for a long time. It’s only proper that we let the board members decide if they still trust me enough to lead the company as I have done in the past. Cade's role as CEO had begun to play out, and in less than a month of assuming his office again, he had slowly begun to bring the Milton Conglomerate back to the normalcy it had before his absence. Alex thumped his hands against the table again. He had been thumping it for a while now. He was angry. He had been angry ever since Cade's appearance at his supposed inauguration that turned to Cade's. Now, someone who had been completely forgotten had found a way to come back and ruin things for him. The men got to a hidden old building somewhere deep in a place Gale did not know or recognize. In the building, the men threw Gale into a room that could pass for a cellar. It was dark and misty in the room, but it got better when one of the men switched on the light in the room. Gale could see there was a small mattress on the floor and a pillow that Gale found disgusting on it. But that was all that the room had. It only got better for Gale because somehow, the light on managed to take his mind off the mist and cold of the room. Gale made up his mind not to put as much as an inch of his body on that horrible looking mattress. He would rather stay awake all night in his tiredness.
