THE VOTE

“You can’t make demands like that. You’re not even a board member, but you seem to keep forgetting your place just because we let you be part of some meetings out of courtesy.” Gale said to Cassandra.

“It’s fine, Gale.” Cade said with a smile and everyone turned to him, even his mother was surprised that he wanted to agree to Cassandra’s term.

“She’s right. I’ve been away for a long time. It’s only proper that we let the board members decide if they still trust me enough to lead the company as I have done in the past. A vote is fine with me.”

Gale stared at Cade with an incredulous look. But the look that Cade gave to Gale was trying to tell Gale to trust him.

“Okay then if both parties consent, we shall have a vote.” Mr Kieran said.
