CASSANDRA'S ARGUMENT

Cade finally spoke up. He had gotten the reaction he wanted, to his satisfaction. He had seen the unmistakable surprise in Alex's eyes. Had seen Alex’s mother pass out in front of everyone. Had heard his father call out his name as though he were unsure of Cade's existence. He also had a good time watching the board members wonder aloud and in surprise. He was not the only one that was pleased by the reaction, even Gale could hardly keep a straight face at this time.

"Gentlemen." Cade began. "Please can we be calm?"

It was almost physically impossible for the men to calm down. As for Cassandra, she obviously could not, because she still had an awestruck look on her face.

"I will tell you all about everything now," he said. He looked around, noting that his call had been effective. The men were calm now and listening expectantly.

Cade gestured to Gale who understood and went to sit somewhere in the room. Then Cade kept his glasses on the table in the room and began his narration.
