CONFUSION

The confusion he experienced at that moment was so overpowering. He couldn't piece together what was going on right then because he had no idea if his brain was playing tricks on him or if he was really staring at Mason, the same Mason that had been shot back there during the attack. He wondered if he was hallucinating, that was the closest answer to what he sought at the moment. He kept staring at him, hoping he would go away but nothing happened.

Mason was a bit surprised that he wasn't budging to his request even after he had made it clear that he had a good and wasn't afraid to use it.

"Alright. That's enough. I did not come here and play games with you. You should get out of the fucking car right now." Mason growled at him before he produced the glock he had had carrying around the whole time. In the tense silence that followed, Cage's mind raced with confusion and fear. His heart was pounding pounding hard in his chest as he tried to make sense of what was happening right then
