GREAT STAKES

The next morning, he arrived at the dilapidated bungalow on Oak Street. Stepping out of the car, the first thing he spotted was Mason's car which was parked on the other side of the street.

His heart was heavy with apprehension as he turned and walked towards the Coffee shop opposite the Oak House. He pushed the door open and stepped inside. He was instantly hit with the soothing smell of coffee. He was about to look around for Mason when he heard someone click their fingers in the distance.

He instantly turned his head in the direction and saw Mason seated at a far corner of the room. He was putting on black glasses and a leather jacket. He glanced at his watch, it had just hit nine. Getting to the table, he lowered himself onto the seat, finding it hard to control his feelings.

He still wanted to lash out at Mason but there was nothing he could do now.

"Would you like some coff-"

He was barely done when Cage raised his hand and cut him off.

"I don't want any of your stupid tal
