In the evening that day, Cage took her to see the doctor. And they were asked to wait at the ultrasound room while the doctor was informed. The room was filled with a soft, warm light, which was just the perfect ambience for him. They sat side by side on the examination table and he put his fingers around hers and stroked it while they waited. Her eyes were filled with excitement and her cheeks flushed with anticipation. Each time she came to see her baby here, it made her so happy. She was usually filled with this particular warmth that nothing could dampen, not even the recent rotten events that had preceded this moment.
