INTERROGATIONS

Mason was locked up as soon as they got to the station. The next day, he was led to the interrogation room where the detective was already waiting for him. The recorder under the table was pressed as soon as he was made to sit across from the detective and the recording began.

The only source of light was the flickering overhead bulb which was intended to scare the person who was being interrogated. Mason looked so calm now, and it was very clear from the way he kept blinking that he had just woken up from sleep.

The look on his face instantly went back to grave as the detective folded his arms in his chest and observed him for a while before the interrogation took off.

"Let's cut the chase, Mason. We know you had a hand in Chloe's disappearance and Cage's shooting. Care to explain why you did it?" He asked. Mason's eyes narrowed slightly at the accusation even though he maintained his composure. The detective seemed too sure for somebody who didn't have proof.

He replied.
