CHAPTER 100

Oliver had just finished the meeting with the board of directors and was about to head back to his office when he heard someone crying. Curiosity led him to investigate the source of the noise, and as he turned the corner, he saw a little boy sitting on the floor with his back against the wall. Oliver noticed that the little boy had brown hair, just like his step-brother, and his eyes were a striking shade of blue, the same color as his mother's, who also happened to be his ex-girlfriend.

"Hey there, little guy. What's wrong?" Oliver asked, approaching the boy.

The boy looked up and saw Oliver standing there. For a moment, he seemed hesitant, unsure of what to do. But then he stood up and ran over to Oliver, burying his face in his chest.

"I miss my dad," the boy sobbed, tears streaming down his face.

Oliver's heart went out to the little boy. He knew the feeling of missing someone you love all too well, and he could imagine how hard it must be for a child to deal with such emotions.
