Every step his stepbrother took with her sent a ripple of pain through his body as he forced himself to keep a straight face. He had no other option but to watch the two people he loved the most dance together, and it felt like he was being gutted in front of all of them.

As the night went on, Oliver become more and more reserved, withdrawing himself from the joyous moment. He kept to himself, not wanting to ruin the night for anyone else. It was a battle within himself, trying to hide his emotions, and putting on the mask that everything was okay.
