The black car stopped in the lot of Ashley Quarters, and Esther gently alighted. She was dressed in a stunning black gown that embraced her curves, the fabric flowing elegantly with her every move. She took her bag and gently closed the car door before proceeding to the building.

Her face was expressionless as she moved, not minding the faces that turned to her in admiration and curiosity.

The sun kissed her black, soft hair, making it glow as if it were soaked in oil.

All through the night, Mello clouded her thoughts, his restless face appearing in her mind over and over again. She couldn't bear the thoughts of leaving him all by himself when he clearly needed help. The memory of his troubled eyes and the weight he carried on his shoulders haunted her.

As she entered the building, the doorman greeted her with a polite nod, but Esther barely noticed. She needed to focus, to find a way to support Mello without being a distraction.
