Jason sat in his luxury car, staring out of the tinted window as the city lights flickered past. He used his other car since the one he brought school was now thrown. It can’t be fix anymore.

Kane, his ever-loyal guardian, sat in the driver’s seat, glancing at him through the rearview mirror.

"You sure about this, boss?" Kane asked.

Jason sighed. "I need to unwind. Just for one night. I never did these king of thing before.”

Kane nodded and took a turn toward the elite district of the city. "I know a place. High-end, exclusive. No paparazzi, no trouble. Just a good time." He smirked as he stepped into the gas.

They arrived at the entrance of the prestigious club, its neon sign glowing in the night. A long line of guests waited to be let in, their designer clothes shimmering under the lights.

Jason and Kane walked straight to the entrance, but before they could step inside, two massive bouncers blocked their path.

"Not happening," one of them grunted, looking Jason up and down with disgust. “What the fuck is wrong with your face? Fucking freak!”

Jason raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"

The second bouncer chuckled. "You heard him. We got a reputation to maintain. We can’t let someone like you in. You’ll scare off the guests. It’s not Halloween, freak. Come back here when it’s Halloween."

A group of bystanders nearby overheard the conversation and started whispering. Some of them laughed, pointing at Jason’s face.

"Looks like a damn mutant," one man snickered.

"Should’ve worn a mask," a woman added, she giggled.

Jason remained calm, but Kane’s fists clenched at his sides. "You have no idea who he is. Let us through before I make you."

Kane really hated this people who would insult Jason. He saw it firsthand how people treat him like a trash.

The first bouncer smirked. "Oh, yeah? And who is he? Some failed science experiment?"

Laughter erupted around them.

Jason sighed and placed a hand on Kane’s shoulder, stopping him before he could throw a punch.

"Relax," Jason muttered. He then looked at the bouncers and said, "I’m Jason Falkner. My grandfather owns half the businesses in this city, including some of the places you probably drink at. Let us in."

The bouncers exchanged looks before bursting into laughter. They thought he was kidding.

"Oh man, that’s a good one!" one of them wheezed. "You think dropping some billionaire’s name is gonna get you inside? That’s the most delusional thing I’ve heard all week."

Kane stepped forward, his patience wearing thin. "You idiots really don’t know who you’re talking to, do you? You will surely regret insulting the boss that way!”

Before the situation could escalate, a voice cut through the noise.

"What the hell is going on here?"

The manager of the club, a well-dressed man in his forties, approached with an irritated expression. The bouncers immediately straightened up.

"Sir, just handling an issue—"

The manager’s eyes landed on Jason, and recognition dawned on his face. His expression turned from annoyance to panic.

"M-Mr. Falkner!" he stammered. "I... I didn’t realize… Oh, my god!"

Jason remained silent, waiting. Finally, someone recognized him.

The manager turned to the bouncers, his face red with anger. "You idiots! Do you have any idea who this man is?! He was just formally introduced as the heir to the Falkner empire! You’ve just insulted one of the most powerful people in the country!"

The bouncers paled. Their arrogance melted away instantly, replaced by pure fear.

"Kneel," the manager snapped.

"S-Sir—" one of them tried to protest, but the manager’s glare silenced him.

"I said KNEEL and apologize to Mr. Falkner!”

The bouncers hesitated for a second before dropping to their knees. Their heads bowed, voices trembling as they muttered, "We’re sorry, Mr. Falkner. We didn’t know. Please, forgive us!” They cried in unison, their big bodies shivered in fear.

Jason stared at them for a moment before turning to Kane. "Let’s go inside."

Kane smirked. "Gladly."

As they stepped past the kneeling bouncers and into the club, whispers spread through the crowd outside. The once-mocked Jason Falkner had just proven, once again, that he was untouchable.

As they entered the high-end bar, Jason received the same reaction he always received when people get the chance to look at his face, disgust and pity.

Kane noticed how the people inside the bar reacted.

"Do you want me to find you a VIP room? We can have privacy there. You can do whatever you want without these people's prying eyes.

Jason shook his head.

"This is fine, Kane. Don't mind those people. As long as they won't hurt us, just let them be."

They ordered a drink, and Jason sat in one corner as he sipped his liquor.

He thought of his life just a few weeks ago. He was striving hard for food and to support his studies. Now he can buy whatever he wants and go to places whenever he wanted.

He stared at the amber colored liquid in his glass. One shot was worth more than a year's rent in his nasty apartment.

He chuckled. "Fuck! This is so new to me. All of it."
